Rand is not suggesting citizenship. He is suggesting allowing people who are here a path to a legal working status. He also champions border security, employment enforcement and a bunch of other stuff we support. This approach is a reasonable one. Many here are going to champion the ‘deport or arrest’ approach, but that simply isn’t going to happen. It is not a popular idea, even in most of the states most negatively affected. Texas is a perfect example, they have a much more moderate approach to immigration than Arizona because the political will is not there.

We can continue to ignore all of these problems with the status quo, or we can address them. Frankly getting a good number of these people who can be productive into legal worker status, along with more border enforcement, a modern employment verification system, and more is a reasonable deal.

The fact is, something is going to pass the Democratic Senate and the House leadership is not going to have the will stand just ignore it. Paul’s approach is pretty good. it is better than Rubio and infinitely better than the crap sandwich McCain, Kennedy and Bush tried 6 years ago.

One more thing. If you think this is good/OK/acceptable whatever, YOU are every bit the problem with conservatism today.

We have laws. If you want to ignore them while allowing any of this, Go Democrat and be honest with yourself and the rest of us.

Words....just words.

The actual intent is to ease the illegality of what these people have done, and to make it easier for them to remain here under some sort of official government sanction.

What the American people want, is enforcement. We want to see widescale deportations, an end to gov't freebies for these lawbreakers, and immediate arrest and deportation upon contact with law enforcement. That is what the majority of the American people have been saying for decades.

The people aren't the least bit interested in what the politicians, the big money enablers, and the illegals want. We want the invasion to cease, which is the one thing Washington will not address. Cheap labor and votes are all that matter to them.

I'd better stop. I've got blood squirting from my eyes.
