President Barack Obama shoots clay targets on the range at Camp David, Md., Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012. (Official White House Photo by Pete Souza)
This official White House photograph is being made available only for publication by news organizations and/or for personal use printing by the subject(s) of the photograph. The photograph may not be manipulated in any way and may not be used in commercial or political materials, advertisements, emails, products, promotions that in any way suggests approval or endorsement of the President, the First Family, or the White House
Sounds like an invitation. Let the photoshopping begin.
OK that does it. I’m opening photoshop right now.
Yes, whatever we do, don’t come up with anything as lame as ...say... that Certification of Live birth....
Let the games begin.
F the White Hut and Klownie the Kenyan. We have Photoshop CS6. Try and stop us.
“All the time” doesn’t equal a single time. From 1 day. I already read a story where the “won” shot skeet 1 time for 5 minutes and couldn’t wait to get out of there. Bunch of bologna to fool the dumb.
Does that curious statement mean that it’s OK to use or photoshop the photo as long as you don’t “promote” or “suggest approval or endorsement of the President, the First Family, or the White House”?
Well, OK, go to it.
I would speculate that they are trying to use to law against spending government money for campaign purposes and conflate it would the copyright laws, in a questionable effort to stop people from making a fool of the Fool in Chief.
Damn! I wish I was good at Photoshopping!
Anyone know what type of shotgun it is? American made or Russian since the Russians make the best shotguns.
Bet that weapon costs a fortune - only the best for O.
It’s looks like he’s shooting horizontally at a target, not up in the air where the clays fly.
Browning 425 in 28 gauge.
I don’t remember the photoshop exception in the first Amendment.
It would look more realistic if he at least pointed the gun up in the air.
I’ll just offer my opinion ...
That shotgun looks REALLY big for him. He looks like a 12 year old with his Dad’s 12 gauge Remington duck gun.
I betcha that’s no magnum load either ;-)
Who do they think he is? Muhammad? Oh ... wait ...
The sonofabitch works for me and his photo is public domain. Stop me! I dare you!
I’d expect a little more evidence of recoil, especially where his cheek is resting on the gun stock.
Why is there gas coming out the side?
The gun appears to be out of focus, but he’s not. Mmmm. Also aiming low for skeet. Could be shooting trap, but he doesn’t know the difference. OK - maybe the whole thing is fake.
Last I heard - under copyright law - political satire is considered a “Fair Use” so the WhiteHouse exhortation is pretty much moot!
OMG - they’re in charge of the country!
HE`S RESTING HIS FACE ON THE BUTT STOCK !!!
THEY PHOTOGRAPHED HIM HOLDING THE SHOTGUN, PHOTOSHOPPED THE SMOKE.
How hard is it to photoshop in smoke? Smoke and mirrors should be the title of that picture.
HEY!!! Didn’t he just tell you not to do that?
Good one though.
I look fabulous! Now Pull!
Well, anything bigger than that and Obama would look like Ned Neiderlander in that scene from “Three Amigos”.
This picture was taken by the WH Photographer, therefore, it belongs to the People!
The butt isn’t even pressed in against his shoulder. There’s no recoil whatsoever.
They love playing this game. We’re being ruled ruled by children.
Definitely not leaning into the shot. Not sure I would have the stock up that high on MY shoulder.
REM: I am not a shotgun guy, so I gotta ask. Why is it venting gas prior to the tip of the barrel, and why does the muzzle have a ‘brass’ tip, and why does the tube(?) go all the way to the end of the barrel? (is it an over/under twice barrel gun?
Lastly, for grins, I copied the firearm image in the original photo and pasted it back in, rotated 90 degrees (vertical IOW) and that sucker would essentially reach from the top of his head to his knees. Again, I am not a skeet/trap/shotgun guy, so that long of a gun may be de riguer. Just seems REALLY big for him.
With the stock in front of most of his face, the glasses covering his eyes, and the hearing protection covering his ears, how do we know this is not his “stunt double”?
Exactly, as well as the fact it is created by the government makes it public domain.
“Why is there gas coming out the side?”
It’s probably a ported barrel.
Little holes drilled in it so that some of the gas, and force, is expended on a different plane than the rest. It helps to manage recoil and pushes the barrel down (back on target) rather than back (into the shooter).
The smoke appears real.
Besides which, this guy has a little tiny bit of a tummy “pooch”. The Won is seriously underweight and would not have that. IMHO.
Or else what??? I know they act as if he's King/Emperor/Potentate/God, but surely they know he's not actually, at least in a legal sense, at least for the moment.
Oh, and am I the only one who thinks that is a whole lot of smoke for modern loads?
Is The Won [Again] a leftie? I never noticed. Wait, I mean is he LEFT-HANDED....I guess it’s kinda symbolic actually. Very considerate of his DNA!
Wrong. Bought and paid for with public funds, it’s now in the public domain.
