Amen.. Come Quickly Lord Jesus.. Come quickly indeed.

Terrible terrible things are in store for this nation. And God’s Righteousness will be VERY just. I just pray he allows us believers to join Him before His wrath is poured out upon this wicked disgusting land.

Perhaps, that smelly piece of trash, jeremiah wright, was correct in his infamous quote

Hubris.

Radical Feminism gets its predictable reward as other parts of the leftist coalition grasp what their hearts desire with no regard for the feminazis.

And, if it really is a lump of tissue, then there couldn't be any foul, now could there? Every child a wanted child (rang the mantra) so if a woman wants a son...who is to complain.

I am for banning abortion outright.
I have zero intentions of allowing it to be tailored in such a way that the feminists will continue to support it.

I predict they are about to make an about face in their thinking.

Who agreed to this stupid “fast-track” process for this bill? Since the bill wouldn’t have survived Obama’s veto it needs to be slow-rolled until 2013 when Obama is replaced by Romney who at least says he’s against abortion.

What pieces of you know what. I have a daughter from China who is absolutely wonderful, and although abandoned at birth at least her birth mother was a better person then the U. S. House of Representatives (not all of them) that thought it ok if she would have just been aborted. Yes they needed a 2/3 rds vote, but it should have received a 100% vote banning gender selection. This should be a big campaign issue, talk about the ultimate war on women and girls!

I think they were hoping to get an Obama veto, thereby showing who really has started a war on women and baby girls before the election.

Nope he'd rather hand them over to sexual deviants to raise.

When I'm suspicious of Congress's actions (which is just about always), I suspect these fast track bills requiring 2/3 are put up just so the Republicans can vote for them but still be quite sure they won't pass so they won't have to get into a political fight.

It's like threatening to get into a fight when your friends are holding you back and you know no punches will actually be thrown.

Franks said Republicans haven’t ruled out bringing similar legislation before the House later under a procedure requiring a simple majority vote.

Good!

The vote was 246-168, short of the two-thirds majority needed under a fast-track procedure used by the House.

Why fast track it then? You have the votes to pass but then screw up the vote procedure?

Republicans have a majority, but do not control 2/3rds of the House. Maybe, though, we can make a good push toward that number in November.

Folks, the vote The vote was 246-168 in favor of the Bill. The GOP controlled House did its job. They won by a lot, even had some dems votre for it.

But because of the way it was introduced it required a 2/3rds majority to pass. That’s okay, here’s why.

The GOP wanted to get people on record. They knew even if they had gotten the vote in under normal tracking and won (which they would have) that it would not survive the Senate (which would never bring it up for a vote under Reid) or Obama’s veto in any case.

This way, they got the Nays on record for everyone to see and you can bet the GOP and PACs will use it in November in every race where anyone voting Nay on it is up for election.

A majority of the House voted for the ban, but not enough to override an Obama veto. We have to vote him out of the White House for this to pass, perhaps get a filibuster-proof majority in the U.S. Senate.

Present-day support for abortion by feminists is itself an about face. Mary Wallestonecraft was vehemently against it, because she believed it would give men a license to be irresponsible with the women that they casually shag. So now it would be a full circle.

Actually, it’s Romanian.

In Italian, we say, “Ciao”, (pronounced “chow”), which is used for “hi” and “bye”.

Italians answer the telephone thus: “Pronto!” or, “Allo, allo!”.

We have gotten to this point incrementally. We are only going to get back incrementally. Besides, once we establish that aborting a baby based on it's gender is called "sexism" that prompts many more questions. What is it called when we abort many more babies of one race than another race? Maybe "racism"? What is it called if we abort babies based on their potential health issues? Maybe "health discrimination"? What is it called when we abort babies based on their family's wealth? Maybe "class discrimination"? What is it called when we abort a baby based on who it's genetic father was?

This line of thinking takes the focus off of the the mother and her "rights" and balances them against the God given rights of the baby.

The wording of this reveals the author’s bias. “House rejects Ban,” when in fact the House voted overwhelmingly for it.

But because of special rules on the way it was presented, they had to have a 66% majoriy in order to be able to ovr-ride a veto. The got 61% when they needed 66%.

The vote was 246-168 in favor of the Bill.

But that’s ok, the GOP controlled House did its job. They won by a large margin, even had some dems votre for it.

That's definitely the "upside," dear Jeff!

But there was something about this bill that worried me: It seemed to imply that abortion actually is a "right" — but a right that needs to be "regulated" by Congress.

To me, abortion is no "right" at all. The willful destruction of an innocent human life — for any reason — can never be anybody's "right."

Thank you so very much for your insights!

Good ridden, Washington has no business saying one thing or the other on the matter of abortion. Abortion like all other forms of domestic killing/murder is a State issue.

Washington D.C. is too big, too slow, and too distant to make Representative domestic policy. It’s constitution does not permit such distant domestic government for a good reason.

Good this bill would have done nothing to prevent any abortion. We don’t need a Federal abortion agency that would have been the beginning of Federal Thought Police. How would they enforce such a law? We have read your mind and have concluded you hate women that is why you had the abortion...off to prison and reeducation.

Wake up O’sleepers only a bill that protects the right to life of the unborn has any real effect, this was a political do nothing bill.
