Pictures of the shooter and a family member
Yazdanpanah = Iranian name
So looks like a wacko Muslim massacre
Heartbreaking. Just soul crushing heartbreaking to think what the murdered went through in the last moments of their lives.
There was some random speculation here when the story broke as to whether they were white/black/hispanic... no one considered they’d be Muslims celebrating Christmas. Not that there aren’t Arab or Persian Christians, but their ethnicity is a little surprising.
They may have been in this country for a long time and some family members may have become Americanized.
Yes not Hispanic as many were guessing. Yazdanpanah is an Iranian name. I must admit it seems a few Christian Yazdanpanah are around on the internet. This family is assimilated secular Muslims who wanted to leave that Muslim garbage behind in Iran. Or might be Christian Iranians with that name
>> “Just a really nice guy, and whenever I saw him with his kids he was all about his kids,” said neighbor Terri Baum.
The family cannot be reclaimed by killing it.
We’re drifting too far from Christ.
they always say they were wonderful neighbors and never heard of any trouble..even when its not so.
I grew up in a household filled with all types of firearms. Over the years there were many family disagreements, arguments and heated discussions. Yes even divorce.
But, not one single shooting.
“He was a quiet man.”
Me too.
This guy didn't burst into the apartment in a blind rage and waste six family members - - this sicko dressed up like freaking Santa Claus!
Nice guy? Good Dad?? I don't think so.
I hate when they call these murderers “gunmen”. I’m a gun man, as are lots of my FRiends. I never shot anyone.
Would they have called a (Texas) lady with a CHL that stopped this killer in his tracks, before he could kill so many a “gun-woman”? Of course not.
“This family is assimilated secular Muslims who wanted to leave that Muslim garbage behind in Iran. Or might be Christian Iranians with that name”
At least some of the dead were Iranian Christians, the killer just a murdering psycho.
One was affiliated with the Iranian Baptist Church of Dallas and has christian friends in Iran.
“She says the Zarei family loved to volunteer, and would often greet returning U.S. soldiers at D/FW International Airport.
They loved to do that, Hosseiny said. They would make the [welcome] signs.”

This should settle any “specualtion”.
Believers who fall out of fellowship with God can degenerate and commit some of the most antiChristian acts imaginable. There is no temptation too great which cannot be resisted, but again the solution to our problems is first, through faith in Christ.
Why would they "fear the worst"? Unless this was after an entire day without contact. Why not think maybe she was stuck in traffic, or her car broke down, or she just plain overslept? Over four years' time, even the most trustworthy employee is bound to be late for some odd reason other than becoming a murder victim.
Perhaps the victim had confided in a coworker that she was in fear of the POS psycho.
No, but "scorched earth" tactics aren't about reclamation.
“Meanwhile, family friends say they will never understand what caused Yazdanpanah to kill his entire family.”
There is no justification for the killings, but this statement is typical denial about the effects of divorce/separation on fathers, especially one who is “all about the kids”, as the article states.
“They always say they were wonderful neighbors”.
It always seems to be the “nice quiet neighbor”, the “good parent”, “the loving husband” types that do things like this.
If I’m ever forced to move into town, I think I’d be more comfortable if my neighbors were loud, obnoxious, wife-beating drunken a**holes.
I am in complete agreement with your comments.
If women were subjected to the treatment men face in divorce proceedings, there would be another entire industry of 501(c)3s to provide them aid and comfort.
And before the jackasses start braying, I just celebrated my 24th anniversary to my first and only wife.
My observations are precisely that: observations.
