There was some random speculation here when the story broke as to whether they were white/black/hispanic... no one considered they’d be Muslims celebrating Christmas. Not that there aren’t Arab or Persian Christians, but their ethnicity is a little surprising.
They may have been in this country for a long time and some family members may have become Americanized.
Yes not Hispanic as many were guessing. Yazdanpanah is an Iranian name. I must admit it seems a few Christian Yazdanpanah are around on the internet. This family is assimilated secular Muslims who wanted to leave that Muslim garbage behind in Iran. Or might be Christian Iranians with that name
I find the "nice" description attributed to the mass killer a little over the top.....he just murdered 7 people, and all they can rave about is how nice he was?.....
