The “Family Guy” tries successfully to push and exceed the envelop of decency. What results is CRUDE humor that really is not humor, They did that regarding the episode of the two Vietnam veterans.

Early life
Davi was born in Astoria, Queens, New York, the son of Maria (née Rulli) and Sal Davi.[1] His mother was an Italian American and his father was a native of Southern Italy; Davi spoke Italian during his childhood.[1] He attended Seton Hall, a Catholic high school in Patchogue (Long Island), New York.[1] He graduated from Hofstra University, the same alma mater as fellow James Bond villain Christopher Walken. Davi was drawn to Hofstra because of the school’s Shakespearean ‘round’ theatre.

Heres what happens: On a search to find the source of all dirty jokes (which eventually leads them to Virginia) Peter, Quagmire, and Joe pass through Washington, DC where they see the Washington Monument, the Obama Monument (its black) and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. This is the part that is going to ruffle some feathers. Standing in front of the Memorial are two Vietnam Vets and a Vietnamese man who calls the Memorial a scoreboard and says aw, what happened to your friends? Hey I know that guy, I killed him, he cried like a bitch. Vietnam! Undefeated! http://hotair.com/greenroom/archives/2010/05/17/family-guy-mocks-vietnam-vets/

Family Guy is part of the “Snark Nexus” which encompass low brow cartoons like Family Guy and pseudo satire news shows like Colbert and the High Priest of Metrosexual Douchness Jon Stewart. It's what poses as political thought on the left, like their version of Rush Limbaugh. No intelligent , cogent thoughts to propel their philosophy, just a mean spirited unfunny mocking of the other side. Human nature what it is, the worst of our collective consciousness seems to gravitate towards this trash. Remove G*d, classical education, civility and a basic understanding of liberty and freedom and you are left with Jon Stewart dropping the F-bomb as his eyes bug out all to the roar of his 20 something audience of semi employed bisexual Mahattanites. Like the upper middle class white kids version of being intelligent not being cool. Not cool with your peer group to actually examine an issue, better to laugh at fart jokes directed at Dick Cheney.

Family Guy has its funny moments - and moments where the humor disappears and it becomes nothing more than a vehicle for its creator’s anti- God, pro-homo activism.
Unfortunately, when Seth MacFarland reaches into the gutter for material, he goes straight to the bottom. He is a disgusting human being.

“.... He is a disgusting human being.”
Seth MacFarland is a disgusting human being because God, who spared him on 9/11, is continually being mocked on Family Guy. To say he ought to be ashamed of himself is an understatement.

a wholly despicable excuse for an American...
On the morning of September 11, 2001, MacFarlane was scheduled to return to Los Angeles on American Airlines Flight 11 from Boston, Massachusetts. Suffering from a hangover from the previous night's celebrations,[89] and with an incorrect departure time (8:15 a.m. instead of 7:45 a.m.) from his travel agent,[90] he arrived at Logan International Airport sometime around 7:30 and was unable to board the flight as the gates had been closed.[90] Fifteen minutes after departure, American Airlines Flight 11 was hijacked,[91] and at 8:46 a.m. was flown into the North Tower of the World Trade Center, obliterating the airplane and destroying the building.[92]
In an interview with TVShowsOnDVD.com, MacFarlane said the following about his close call:
The only reason it hasnt really affected me as it maybe could have is I didnt really know that I was in any danger until after it was over, so I never had that panic moment. After the fact, it was sobering, but people have a lot of close calls; youre crossing the street and you almost get hit by a car
this one just happened to be related to something massive. I really cant let it affect me because Im a comedy writer. I have to put that in the back of my head.
Other Beliefs
Seth MacFarlane is an outspoken atheist[94]. MacFarlane was very open with this on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher. Brian Griffin, whom many believe to be the Family Guy character that is most relatable to Seth, is also portrayed as an atheist.

“Family Guy” WAS funny, but it ceased to be funny and swayed into just plain leftists preachiness a while ago. They lost me completely when Meg converted to Christianity but by the end Brian talks her out of it, like it’s little more than believing in the Tooth Fairy.
“South Park”’s skewering of “Family Guy” was spot-on and hilarious.

I agree. Family Guy WAS funny. Initially, it was decent satire. Seth McFarland seems to have moved away from comedy and is exploring his “issues” via cartoons aired. While the guy is talented and creative, he is also incredibly bitter and, I suspect, damaged. He seems to hate woman and really could use some good a therapist.

FG for the first few seasons was really funny. Now it is unwatchable. I like American Dad better but I haven’t watched it in ages.
