The report, a draft of the Fifth U.S. Climate Action Report that will be sent to the United Nations, says bluntly: "Global warming is unequivocal and primarily human-induced ... Global temperature has increased over the past 50 years. This observed increase is due primarily to human-induced emissions of heat-trapping gases."

I am more and more convinced this crop of Progressives are plotting to drag this Republic into financial ruin and do not plan on letting honest elections in November. I believe that is why they don't fear passing ridiculous legislation like Obamacare, cap and tax, and amnesty.

They’ll hold elections. They’re just trying to institutionalze their policies so it makes no difference if they lose.

You just have to laugh at the timing of these people! a volcano is belching more crap into the air than humans could hope to produce while they issue their political proclamation.

This rivals AlGore’s snowstorms!

This whole "global warming" B.S. is just a scheme backed by the multi-national industrial interests who KNOW they will be making a zillion dollars with carbon trading, all at the expense of consumers and energy users, too.

NOTHING will make the climate change no matter what we do, but follow the money, and another scheme of fleecing the guy on the street is at hand.

Science is un-settled and for the most part, the HONEST assessments are that man-made effects are NOT causing a situation.

Yep. They are going to jam every piece of their communist agenda through over the next 6 months. By the time November rolls around, there will be nothing left of this country to save and no feasible way to undo the damage.

Even if the Dems lose some Senate and House seats in 2010, I don’t think there is any chance that we’ll win a veto-proof majority. So, by the time Obama is gone in 2012, it won’t matter because most of the population will have been reduced to government-dependent poverty in one form or another, and we’ll probably be living under martial law as a result of the civil unrest that results.

I really hope I’m wrong, but at this point I don’t see any way for our Constitutional Republic to survive this fascist coup d’etat. Perhaps future generations will rebuild something good from the rubble after this runs its course.

Who needs a veto proof majority if you have the Presidency and both houses of Congress. You only need 51% votes to overturn all the laws the socialist dems pass with 51% votes, and the Republican president signs them.

The more of these pass, the more likely that indepenent voters will have their own sacred ox gored, and be willing to support Republicans for President, Senate and the House so as to overturn that which they don’t like.

No, the observed increase is due totally to human-induced lies and fabrications of gasbags that have become mega-millionaires on this fantasy.

This is going to test the will of the Republican party immensely. Will both sides of the Repub side on the Hill stand behind the likes of Senator Inhofe and a few other outspoken Senators and Representatives regarding the falsehood of AGW.

I understand the Dodd Bill on finance reform puts most of the regulating power over financial institutions in the hands of the Executive Branch. I used to think Congress was clueless to Obama’s power grab but now I am beginning to think the Congressional Progressives see they are going to lose a lot of power come November so they plan on passing as much of Obama’s agenda as possible and at the same time delegating enough Congressional authority to the Executive Branch so the new Congress can essentially do nothing. Maybe they have been assured a nice political plum job in the new regime.
