They’ll hold elections. They’re just trying to institutionalze their policies so it makes no difference if they lose.

Yep. They are going to jam every piece of their communist agenda through over the next 6 months. By the time November rolls around, there will be nothing left of this country to save and no feasible way to undo the damage.

Even if the Dems lose some Senate and House seats in 2010, I don’t think there is any chance that we’ll win a veto-proof majority. So, by the time Obama is gone in 2012, it won’t matter because most of the population will have been reduced to government-dependent poverty in one form or another, and we’ll probably be living under martial law as a result of the civil unrest that results.

I really hope I’m wrong, but at this point I don’t see any way for our Constitutional Republic to survive this fascist coup d’etat. Perhaps future generations will rebuild something good from the rubble after this runs its course.

I understand the Dodd Bill on finance reform puts most of the regulating power over financial institutions in the hands of the Executive Branch. I used to think Congress was clueless to Obama’s power grab but now I am beginning to think the Congressional Progressives see they are going to lose a lot of power come November so they plan on passing as much of Obama’s agenda as possible and at the same time delegating enough Congressional authority to the Executive Branch so the new Congress can essentially do nothing. Maybe they have been assured a nice political plum job in the new regime.
