Md. halts policy change for transgender drivers

Maryland's Motor Vehicle Administration says it has halted, at least temporarily, a policy change that would have forced people living as the opposite sex to get an amended birth certificate before applying to change their gender on their driver's license. The gay-rights group Equality Maryland said...the change would have put a financial burden on many people who are struggling financially. It would have taken effect Friday.

The current policy demands only written confirmation from a physician or psychologist that the applicant is under supervision for a gender change.

The decision doesn't affect a policy requiring people who have had transgender surgery to provide an amended birth certificate or court order when seeking a driver's license change....

Financial hardship? Give me a break. How much does it cost for a sex change? If you can afford to do that, you can afford what? 25 bucks? This seems ridiculous to me.

Besides, birth certificates no longer mean much of anything. Ask our president or 20million "undocumented" immigrants.

Basically what the gay rights people want is for anyone to be able to claim any gender, on a whim, regardless of their physical reality. And to be able to switch back and forth, for identification purposes, whenever and as often as they want. I really think this has implications for identity fraud and other kinds of crime.

LICENSE CLERK: But sir, you're dressed as a man.

DRIVER: No I'm not. I'm dressed as an ugly woman. I'm an ugly woman, trapped in the body of a man, you homophobe.

LICENSE CLERK: I'm sorry. I am a homophobe. Don't have me fired

DRIVER: Thank you. Now, give me my license so I can spend the rest of my afternoon in the ladies locker room, with my now female driver's license.
