If you were watching television on Tuesday night as the election returns came in showing Republicans capturing the governorships of Virginia and New Jersey, you probably missed seeing the biggest losers of the evening. You may have caught the concession speech of Creigh Deeds, who ran 12% behind Barack Obama's winning percentage of the vote in Virginia, and that of Jon Corzine who, after spending over $100 million of his own money on three campaigns, ran 13% behind Obama's winning percentage in New Jersey and got evicted from Drumthwacket, the governor's mansion in Princeton.
But you missed seeing the guy who may have been the biggest loser of alla man who according to recently released White House logs has been a guest in the White House 22 times since Barack Obama became president, more than any other single individual.

I hate unions. And not just the corrupt bosses. I hate the union workers too. I hate the union worker mentality. I have no respect at all for union workers. They are entitlement-seeking, do-the-minimum, loafers. I spit on all of them.
$60 million for Barack Obama and other Democrats in the 2008 campaign cycle. Altogether, Mr. Stern and other labor union leaders reportedly gave Democrats some $400 million last year.
Why not put these dollars into the pension funds and paychecks and stay out of politics.
A must read article.
Unions won’t stop supporting democrat party because they cannot exist without the monopolistic power given to them by the democrats. Democrats in return get all this money, it is a shakedown of the union workers and American taxpayers. That is partly what makes the democrat party corrupt by philosophy, they have other examples as well.
Unions are for STUPID people.
“Mr. Obama benefited last year from a big turnout of young voters, who backed him by a 66% to 32% margin. This year young voters formed only about half as large a percentage of the electorate in Virginia and New Jersey as they did in 2008, and in Virginia they voted about as Republican as their elders.”
“Hey, dude. You gonna vote?”
“Vote? There’s an election?”
“Yeah, some dudes are running or something.”
“Yeah? Pass me the chips.”
(sound of joint being lit.)
“What’s on TV?”
Ronald Reagan was a member of a union. In fact I think he was president of the Screen Actors Guild for a time. I would hardly call him stupid.
A 2008 presidential candidate promised to build at least 40 new nuclear power plants, yet the union whose members would benefit most from this sent out letters to it’s members to vote for the other candidate, even though the first candidates VP candidate’s husband was a union member.
The iPod generation will soon learn that they have voted themselves into indentured servitude.
The IPOD generation will be lucky to find work or feed themselves.
Careful what you say. Many Union rank and file are vote with us. The Union bosses are the guys that you should hate!
He was also an FDR Democrat. No small coincidence.
I don’t care how they vote. Every union worker I ever met was a loafing, entitlement seeking shovel leaner. I despise the whole mindset.
These liberals can only get so many votes from their Wall Street winners and they will need UNIONs to get out their vote every election.
States will load up their ballots for UNIONs causes just to get that vote out. Course don't forget that only a small portion of the walking around stimulus money has yet to be spent....
Michael Barone is always very thoughtful and his articles are well researched. Unions should have little power and even less money from government. When we retake the House in 2010, we need to reverse all of the union handouts. It is bad enough that the crook union bosses are stealing from their members union dues (many have similar political leanings but not all and most would much rather their money be spent locally on something that would benefit them directly than on contributions to the Dims at the federal level or for state elections), but most of the dues are being stolen from them for political reasons.
I only have a problem with public employee unions. Gubment workers should NOT unionize.
Sorta redundant, I guess. Being a communist loafer isn't good enough. They have to be communist communist loafer loafers. lol.
As a union member who bucks the democrates agenda, I don’t appreciate your spit. You should focus on the union leadership, not necessarily it’s members, as I do, as an outlet for your disgust.
I have never understood how union state’s are premitted to discriminate against their non-union populations in favor of union employ. To me it is simply anti-constitutional to allow any government to discriminate in favor of a select group (who pays for the privlidge) with respect to employment contracts. If you are talking about civil rights, and equality, how do you get to unionism?
