You may want to save a copy of that photo.
It might disappear, once the AP realizes what it is showing.
But it’s not a real flag, only a prop.
I did!
Country before Party, eh Joe?

It is also up on another thread.
I saved a copy. We need to put this picture out there along with the discarded American flags the Libs used for props at their Greek column farce.
I don’t think Biden would do that to the flag at a formal Senate function, but people tend to let their true selves be shown when they are among those who think like they do.

It’s annoying having to carry that crap around during our party.
(as thought in the minds of Democrats)
First, many do not know flag ettiquite, you really aren’t supposed to print the American Flag on things such as shirts, paper plates, napkins and all that stuff that many use all the time without thinking.
Second, they handed out tons of these flags, and the flag could have simply fallen off of his chair. I guarantee you that if they handed these out at the GOP convention tons of them hit the floor too.
Frankly, printing little flags like is wrong in my opinion, I’m a hard core conservative but this photo means nothing really, non issue, sorry. You print little flags like there they’re going to wind up on the floor, in BOTH HOUSES.
Maybe for the first time in his adult life he’s finally proud of his country?
(sorry, couldn’t resist)
Bzzzzzt. Wrong.
It’s a childish issue. Two seconds after that photo he could have picked it up, give me a break, this is rediculous, that flag should not have been created in the first place.
That photo is gold.
Biden crosses his legs like a woman.
You don’t get the point at all. Are you missing it or purposely fogging the issue?
It’s not about the flag exactly, it’s about Biden’s casual disregard of honoring our country’s flag. And he is asking us to put him in a position of power over that country.
And if he picked it up in a minute, it would still have been on the floor and it’s not to be put on the floor.
And the image of the flag is fine on T shirts, when worn respectfully. Not to change the oil in your car or anything.
The flag is not to be used for any other purpose. Like a tablecloth or curtain.
There are all kinds of things I can let slide concerning the flag and patriotism.
Kid Rock wearing the flag at a 9/11 concert? Ignorance combined with wanting to do something to show how much he loves the flag. Forgivable.
Someone not putting their hand over their heart but standing silently and respectfully during the National Anthem? Ignorance due to the fact that we haven’t taught good flag ettiquette in public schools for a quarter of a century.
A smelly code pinker tossing a hand held flag in the trash at the end of a political convention? A little closer to unacceptable, but at least they weren’t burning it, I can still let it slide.
A 36 year veteran of the United States Senate and vice-Presidential candidate placing a hand flag point down by his seat at a political convention?
Nope, that is inexcusable. He is around the history and culture of the flag all the time. He is, literally, steeped in the flag code. He knows how to treat the flag properly like he knows how to breathe... or at least he absolutely should, having spent that long in a position so powerful and prestigious.
It would be like Warren Buffet not knowing the rules on selling short or how much to tip a valet. Rules that people who are new to the culture or have never been taught before might flub up occassionaly, but he knows instinctively.
No, I will send an e-mail to Joe Biden’s office over this. He never had my vote, but he never had my animosity before. This is precisely why Democrats get their patriotism questioned.
Too the average joe this looks really bad
You’ve stopped making sense. 8i doesn’t apply to that little flag Biden’s dropped to the floor. It’s about napkins, paper plates, etc.
If you want flags discarded as trash, you’ll have to look to Denver’s DNC.
Yep. Before we try to turn this molehill into a mountain, we better make sure there are no similar pictures of Republicans in the proximity of discarded toy flags.
Oh, by the way, that photo is gold.
He's a Senator. If anyone should know it, he should.
you really aren’t supposed to print the American Flag on things such as shirts, paper plates, napkins and all that stuff that many use all the time without thinking.
You're right.

It appears propped against his chair and both of his hands appear free.
this photo means nothing really, non issue, sorry.
It's ammo.
ML/NJ
Sorry, I do not agree. This fits in with the whole G-damn America attitude the Neo-Marxist Obama followers have. Maybe a flag falling off a chair during the hoopla of a convention isn’t a big thing, but these people don’t hold the flag and what it represents in high esteem. Yes, I am questioning their patriotism!

"DON'T QWESTHTUN MY PATWIOTISTHM!!!!!!!!!!"
Joe “the corrupt lying plagarist elitist” Biden could give a damn about America. All he cares about is power, money and fame.
The bottle is upright.
Why?
Because it has a use for Biden, unlike the flag which is merely a stage prop.
If the Democrats didn't think that perhaps distributing all these flags as props would lead to their misuse, they're both unpatriotic AND stupid...
To the average Joe, Omarosa looks mad.
I agree with you. The flag could easily have just fallen, and this moment could have happened to anyone. By raving about a non-issue like this, we sound like the right wing equivalent of the moonbats.
bump
Big difference!! He's a United States senator running for the office of Vice President.
Pictures tell a lot about the sincerity of politicians. Doubtful that the Associated Press noticed the flag under Biden’s chair when editing a Democrat “Kodak Moment”.
Where Did the Flags Come From?
Down in the thread, there's a link to other photos of the flags in garbage bags along with Obama signs. So much for Bambi saying they wouldn't disrespect the flag that way.
The Dems missed a chance to gather up all those flags and reuse them (good for the environment) at their next pep rally, aka Uncle Teddy’s funeral.
So printing them and chucking them in trash by the 1000's is fine but oh boy, don't let it hit the ground, but later, go ahead and chuck it in a barrel with dirty diapers and other garbage that's fine, whatever ....
I agree, its a non issue. Images of the flag get put on address labels all the time. and where do those envelopes wind up? The trash, like you pointed out. I see we've arrived at the point in the election where the Republicans can do no wrong and the Dems get numerous threads for the slightest infraction real or perceived.
Hey, I found this image on someone's flickr site, let's track them down and demonize them. /sarcasm
How about all the photos of the flags tossed in garbage bags? You may not think it matters, but it's an opportunity to zing the Democrats on their lack of respect for the flag. If the Dems and their liberal ilk in the media can fabricate issues to attack Republicans on, turnabout is fair play my friend. The difference is, this issue wasn't fabricated. The pictures tell the true story. Beating the Democrats at their own game is always a good thing.

Yup!
Oddly enough there were very few flags at all at the Republican convention. If the positions were reversed, I dare say that people would be accusing the dems of being unpatriotic for their lack of flags.

Following their national convention in Denver last week, Democratic organizers heaped up thousands of unused U.S. flags, allegedly to throw them away, but the McCain campaign has since salvaged the Star-Spangled Banners for reuse at a rally in Colorado Springs.
A Denver Post blog reports that a vendor at Denver's Invesco Field discovered the discarded flags following Barack Obama's nomination speech at the mile-high stadium last week.
Democratic organizers have claimed that the flags were not meant to be thrown in the trash, but according to a Fox News report, McCain supporters claim the vendor found the bagged flags in and around garbage bins following the Democratic National Convention.
A group of Boy Scouts brought 84 garbage bags full of the discarded flags to the site of a Republican rally in Colorado Springs today, where veterans distributed them throughout the assembled crowd. McCain supporters waved the recycled flags and chanted "U.S.A." as they welcomed Republican candidate John McCain and his running mate, Sarah Palin.
The Post blog reports an estimated total of 12,000 small flags and one, full-size 3'x5' flag were discarded. Damon Jones, spokesman for the Democratic National Convention Committee, released a statement claiming that McCain supporters has swiped leftover bundles of flags from the stadium "to play out a cheap political stunt" calling into question Democrat patriotism.
Patriotic symbolism has been a thorn in the side of the DNC and Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama throughout the campaign. As WND reported earlier, credentials for the national convention drew attention for portraying the elements of the U.S. flag upside down.
Earlier in the campaign, Sen. Obama was photographed with Gov. Bill Richardson, Sen. Hillary Clinton and Ruth Harkin at a steak fry for Iowa Sen. Tom Harkin during the playing of the national anthem. Richardson, Clinton and Harkin placed their hands over their hearts, but Obama is standing casually with his fingers laced in front of him. He also previously said he doesn't wear an American flag lapel pin because it has become a substitute for "true patriotism."
To an Iowa television station, the Illinois senator explained he stopped wearing a flag pin following the 9/11 attacks. "I decided I won't wear that pin on my chest," he told the station. "Instead, I'm going to try to tell the American people what I believe will make this country great."
I want pictures. In this day and age of cell phones with cameras, surely someone has a picture of these 84 bags heaped into and around the trash dumpster. I saw two pictures in another thread where one pic had one bag of trash and the other pic was one bag of clean items in a bag and neatly placed by a chair.
” the flag is merely a stage prop” Bingo!
You have certainly nailed the reason this photo is indeed significant. Even the alpha #2 among literally scores of thousands of democrat dignataries treated it as such. One understands that had the Rocky Mountain Funeral Home provided cardboard fans they would have held more actual worth to this conregation.
No need to raise the issue. Just enjoy the publication of the photo.

Senator Barack Obama, Governor Bill Richardson, Senator Hillary Clinton and Ruth Harkin stand during the national anthem.
Some supporters have suggested that perhaps the picture does not tell the whole story and that he may have raised his hand shortly after it was taken.
An ABC News video, however, shows that Senator Obama did not salute at any time during the Anthem and that everybody else on the platform did.
That’s because the Dem Party IS INDEED un-patriotic when compared to the Republicans.
