The Al Jazeera host responded by quoting a verse from the Koran in which he thought Jerusalem was mentioned by name, but stopped in the middle upon realizing that it only refers to "the farthest place."

Dr. Kedar: "Jerusalem is not mentioned in the Koran even once. You can't rewrite the Koran on air on Al Jazeera."

BWAHAHAHAHAHAH!!

It’s called hitting them with their own “weapon” (their “holy” book - Koran).

He could have said it like this:
"Jerusalem was ours( the Jews') before Islam, before The Arabs became "Muslims".

Yep, all members of the ROP assume that Mohamed’s (midnight) ride into the night involved Jerusalem. No mention in the Koran or anywhere else in early Islamic literature regarding a city or country named Jerusalem. The ROP only became interested in Jerusalem when they found out that it was the Holy city of the Jews.

No matter, it’s the third, or fourth, or fifth, or whatever holiest place in Islam. So, you Jews and Christians have to give up the holiest place for both your false religions. It’s the will of Allah.

Why Jerusalem is Not Holy to Muslims
http://www.israelnationalnews.com/Articles/Article.aspx/3691

Jerusalem is "not holy to Muslims at all," nor has it ever been, and the claim that it is Islam's third holiest site, after Mecca and Medina, is aimed simply at stealing the city from the Jewish people...
"They simply want to take away our heart and our soul," ... in a speech he gave before 200 congregants shortly before the 40th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem.

Isn’t the notion of a Jewish state against Islamic teaching? It is prohibited by Islam?

“Set Match and Point!”

Muslims do not play tennis when it concerns Islam. They do not have a sense of logic. The only time you beat them is off the court by breaking an old Wilson 2000 steel racket on their heads.

Don’t know. I know Islam tells Moslems to kill Jews everywhere they find them.

The Islamic connection to Jerusalem began much later in history, during the 7th century CE. The central personality of Islam, Mohammed, was born and raised in the area of present-day Saudi Arabia and founded Islam in the early 7th century. (The first year of the Moslem calendar, or the Hajira, corresponds to the year 622 CE of the Christian calendar.)
Scholars agree that Mohammed was influenced by Judaism (and Christianity). This influence was significant enough that Mohammed's original plan for the direction of prayer (Qibla) was also Jerusalem. Mohammed later changed the direction of prayer to Mecca in Saudi Arabia -- a place that was converted from a pagan pilgrimage site to the 'eternal city,' and the center of the Moslem religion. (Moslems also placed Mecca as the spot where Abraham nearly sacrificed Isaac's brother Ishmael.)
Mohammed never made it to Jerusalem, and the word 'Jerusalem' appears nowhere in the Koran.

The Fight for Jerusalem: Radical Islam, the West, and the Future of the Holy city

In the last decades, radical Islam has been fed by its sense of victory in the face of repeated withdrawals: a re-division of Jerusalem would not only endanger its holy sites, but also unleash new jihadist momentum, on a scale that most political leaders have not begun to consider.

I am sure the interviewer had "protesting" letter from "offended" Muslims, how dare an "ape" or a "pig" (AKA A Jew or a Christian in Islamic "doctrine') is 'allowed' to voice an opinion on "holy"-terrorists-apologetic Al Jazeera ground...

Why use "CE" rather than "AD?" I'm hearing this lately - no time for Christ? Focus on the common rather than Christ's uncommon life and death?
