ORANGE COUNTy, Fla. -- A 13-year-old girl's sexual shenanigans have put a second man behind bars. Morris Williams, 22, told the judge he thought the girl was 18-years-old, but he found out Tuesday that ignorance is not a defense.
Morris Williams' mother wailed as he went off to jail. The judge asked for media not to show 13-year-old Alisha Dean's face in court, but her pictures are all over her MySpace page and they portray a sexy, 19-year-old divorced woman.
"She told me she had just turned 18," Williams said.
Williams said Dean picked him up on the street and after a few conversations they had sex. When he heard she was not 18, he went to her father.
"He was like 'well, she's 13,'" Williams said of a conversation with Dean's father.
Williams said he never did it again, but Dean has done it before with 24-year-old Darwin Mills. Mills was sentenced to five years in prison.
Dean's father wanted Williams to join Mills there.
"One of the reasons for the law is the fact that minors have poor judgment," said Jerry Dean, the girl's father.
Williams' father believes the jail sentence sends the wrong message to Alisha.
"I guess we just sit back and count how many after this," Henry Smith asked after his step-son was sentenced to jail.
Dean's family admits Alisha still stays out late and has yet to delete her misleading MySpace page.
Williams will serve six years probation with the first year in jail. The other five years he will have to wear an ankle monitor. His attorney says he will come back to court to ask again for a shorter sentence.
Oh yeah. That's exactly what I too would have done.
Or maybe I'd go straight to the police. And turn myself in.

I'm not sure a good slap on the wrist to the man, and a harder slap on the girl, might not have been the appropriate response here.
Send her father an anonymous letter maybe but go to him and say, “I had sex with your underaged daughter”? That’s just stupid.
Lots of 13-16 year old girls out there that look to be in their 20s. Better ask for a birth certificate.
Dad has to have some responsibility here too.
Too bad there isn't a law against being a complete failure as a father.
A chastity belt?
A 13 year old is not supposed to be hanging out on the streets getting chatted up by men.
She's supposed to be going to school, playing sports or doing academic extracurriculars, or doing her homework or her chores or spending time with her family.
Sounds like there might be a need for organized dating clubs in the land with strict membership requirements. If you’re not going to be married, you need something more organized than just hooking up with people you see on the street.
There is a natural law. It’s called - having to take care of and support the consequence of not teaching and protecting your daughter. This worked fairly well throughout history,
until the libs decided that instead of it being a consequence, the rest of us should have to pay the girl for her (and her father’s) poor choices.
In 1958 a 13-year-old that fully developed was rare to non-existent. Has that gotten to be common today or what exactly??
Sexual acting out by young girls often is the result of...other stuff...going on at home. Dad might have a lot of responsibility here.

Why are the girls parents making excuses for her? Why is she still on the computer? Why is she still staying out all hours? You ask me, its her parents that need to be facing the jail time.. their lack of parenting has directly contributed to the delinquency of a minor.
I’ve heard explanations of “too much refined sugar in our diets”, etc.
I’ve also heard that the absence of the bio-father in the home leads to early puberty in girls.
Better nutrition is why... Some blame the hormones in milk as well, but basically its better overall nutrition.
Leftists would scream bloody murder about inhibiting the sexual activity of a minor.
The ONLY freedoms that the left supports are those that involve sexual behavior choices.
Think about it. I have yet to come up with a counterexample.
