Way back I recall a study done in Puerto Rico that blamed hormones in chickens and eggs.

I've dug through the CPI substitution charts for food over the last 30 years, and I'm pretty confident that our food is getting worse in the aggregate, not better.

I'd bet good money its related to hormones because the issue hasn't popped up yet in places with stricter standards. We prescribe steroids a lot, too.

I mean, this is why we use hormones in the first place, to speed up biological processes.

I think it’s the hormones in everything, but especially meats. Fast food production injects the heck out of all their animals to get them to mature quicker, so they can go into happy meals. Nutrition from the 50’s was 1000 times better IMHO, because of the lack of chemical additives.
