Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

Now is not the time to brood over worst case what ifs at the general election.

Now is the time to think of “What can I do to prevent that worst case scenario by getting involved?”

All politics is local.

Touch bases with your local people and roll up your sleeves and get working!

Reagan was a great president. But if I am not mistaken the national debt exploded under his leadership.

The tactic of tearing down Reagan so that the gutter-dwelling leftist Giuliani doesn't look so bad is hardly a favored tactic here these days. Have you not noticed?

I fail to see how anyone here would do the RAT nominee the favor by voting for a third party candidate that has no chance of winning.

We won't have to worry about it if fools don't ruin the GOP by supporting the guy who said this:

"Most of Clinton's policies are very similar to most of mine." - Rudy Giuliani

Thanks for the courteous reply. The lack of civility I have noticed around here lately has kept me away. I am glad I can reply without someone declaring war on me and being rude and sarcastic.

The debates next week will certaily be intersting.

While my replies to you were curt, because of the nature of your posts, they were not discourteous.

Why don’t you pay me the courtesy of giving me straight responses to my comments to you?

Generally, it’s trolls who are unresponsive to substantive questions or comments here.

“But if I am not mistaken the national debt exploded under his leadership.”

He doubled revenues and rebuilt the military and National Defense enough to end the Cold War, but he could not get Congress to honor their pledges, and limit their spending, every conservative knows all this.

Considering he made the most dramatic gains in Foreign policy of any President and also used the military so effectively as a part of his Cold War strategy, I have always trusted his wisdom and self control in not letting Lebanon derail his strategic plans.

No, it isn’t. Hillary is not assured the nomination, and the Republicans have other candidates and potential candidates who can defeat whoever the Democrats nominate.

I'm undecided as of yet, it's too early.

I find the hoo-rah amusing, though.

Yep. It's early, and the best likely GOP winner I see is Thompson, but sadly, he's an Americas Free Trader from what I see. I'll light a candle for Duncan.

What I have to wonder is if W will support HR297. That would cap my depression. Politics is interesting, but in general, politicians make me sick (in a Katie Colon sort of way.) I need a modern day Will Rogers to cheer me up. Steyn is close.

“Why did you ping me?”

A couple of days ago you seemed concerned about the question of would we vote for Rudy if he wins our primaries, I just wanted to remind you that we have plenty of time for those worries later.

Nothing particular was meant by the ping.

Peachy???? Fine, not.

First off, Rudy, no way. I like my guns and the aresenal under my bed. Abortion??? Don’t go there. Many forms of birth control is available. Period.

This thread, grim.

Why? Too much baiting going on. There are about ten posters that want too many posters tossed for some personal reason or another. Some, yes, of course, very understanable.

Others, no, not at all. There have been some true conservatives banned, or maybe suspeneded ( hard to tell ) cuz someone may have had a case of heartburn against them.

I have a problem with the fact that some Clown Posse members are allowed back here, for some reason or another.

That is my case of heartburn.

You asked, I explained.

That’s it, right there! Exactly what we’ve been talking about! Yea Knitting!

I would vote for Rooty if he was dead and Alan Keyes was VP on the ticket. That’s about the only way.
