Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

Thanks to those who pinged me to newly departed freepers. As of last night, the “list” kind of got handed off to me. At the time, I didn’t think much of it and was willing to be “keeper of the list” and would have been happy to maintain a ping list. But after reading 24 hours of posts, I’ve changed my mind. I think it’s time to terminate it.

In my opinion, some are viewing the list and coming to totally inaccurate conclusions about the circumstances of many, if not all, of the departures. Some have entered the end of this thread to suggest reinstatement of certain freepers, without knowing the basis for their departure. Those who have taken the time to read the thread know what happened and it is probably best for the curious ones to go ahead and read the thread themselves. I have seen the list referred to as a “purge”, or of people being banned for supporting Rudy—neither is true. People were banned for a variety of reasons, none of which was supporting Rudy, and several cases were voluntary departures. One person attacked, maligned and carried on for over 500 posts before finally being put out of their misery.

I have also glanced at one of the “other sites” and found that there are a long line of folks, currently not associating with FR, that would be perfectly happy to come use one of their various FR screennames to come here and disrupt. It seems the only thing the list is doing is enabling them to misrepresent what has truly happened here so they can go back and be high-fived by their comrades.

As to comments of this being a blood-letting, or guillotine, I think that is an entirely inaccurate representation. I look at this more as the firing of an employee for attacking and harrassing co-workers, lying to customers, and/or sabotaging the company product—in this case conservatism. That’s my take, anyway.

At this point, I would encourage all those visiting late in this thread, or even those who have lost track about what it was all about, to go back to the original post and heed the message.

Sorry for rambling so long.

You seem to have a comprehension issue right now, Reagan Man; or should I say, “silly man”? Oh, darn, there’s that pesky question mark again. LOL

The rest of your comment to me is not worthy of a response. I have stated my opinions quite clearly and in spite of the fact that you are trying very hard to twist them into your personal pretzel I feel quite confident that most people are smart enough to know what you’re trying to do.

Have a lovely evening.

On the social issues, I have to agree with you. However, there is a HUGE and SERIES difference between the Dems and Giuliani when it comes to our military and the WOT. So if voting for a Republican (if Giuliani is the candidate) or Democrat won’t make a difference on the social issues, the vast difference will between the two will come down to the WOT. You don’t have to trust me on this. Just do your research and you will clearly see that there IS a difference between the two.

I know that sully is no longer with us, but for this post he earns the Revisionist History Award for creating the most inaccurate representation of this thread, combined with his childish vitriole.

Sayonara, Sully! You’re fired!

I don’t have time to read 12,000 posts, so that list came in handy for keeping up to date. I can see that it was causing more trouble than it was worth though. Rather, stupid sheeple were causing more trouble than it was worth.

Thank you for all your hard work.

Your words and remarks speak for themselves.

The King FReeper has stated his goal was to knock off Rudy Giuliani. Many FReepers support him in that effort. This is a conservative crusade to kill of the most liberal Republican candidate whose ever run for POTUS! A big govt, gun grabbing, gay loving, pro amnesty, abortionist, CFR supporting liberal.

Your stated goal is to vote for Rudy come Nov2008.
