Just a thought about lagacy ....

I saw a Reagan interview replayed a few years ago, the interview many years after Reagan retired. I think it was Larry King. Reagan was so comfortable, so at peace with his life. So at peace with the decicions he had made and how he lived his life.

When seeing Clinton like this, it is a good comparison how not to live your life.

Democrats have been so burnd by this guy. Republicans exposed him for what he is, and they have a need to vent hatered for the unvieling their icon, and Bush is their target. The damage this man has done to himself and everyone around him is massive and deep.

Two major unenviable records for one presidency. He started out as the most classless President of all time, only to end up with the record of most classless EX president of all time. What a shame, when his legacy was there for the taking.

The protection of the American people was all he had to be concerned about. One gets a tiny picture of the character of the present President when one considers the world classless treatment of the one by the other. There is a lesson here.

The answer, as far as I can remember is NEVER. I'm quite sure that Wallace was "rewarded" this interview because of the stance he took on the "PATH TO 911" Clinton controversy.

I can't stand Chris Wallace, but it seems to me what caused this reaction was Wallace's reference to their emails. It set off the un-loved narcissist who had to lash back against it's "right wing" critics.

When you read all of this, you'll realize (feedback if you don't and it's only me), Clarke is good at sugarcoating and revising history, especially when it contradicts what was previously said; and O'Neill was in fear of his life... not from the towers, i'm sure he knew when he went there they would be hit and the only way he could do something is to do the best he could being there, but from those he worked with and under... he knew too much.

I had a co-worker many years ago who exhibited several of the same traits as Bubba does when things are turned against him, especially the lying and the forceful denials but parsing his language very carefully.

He was forced to take a psychological evaluation by the company and eventually let go, one day I saw his file on my boss' desk and took a peek at the psych report :

Pathological Narcissism combined with strong self-loathing tendencies when faced with any self perceived failure.

To me that describes Clinton perfectly.
