Loretta Sanchez Weighs In: Loves Bush's Plan
West coast power house KFI LA radio/ Host John and Ken | 1-7-04 | Joe Hadenuf

Posted on 01/07/2004 6:42:40 PM PST by Joe Hadenuf

Some comments from the largest powerhouse station on the west coast.

Playing tapes, Loretta Sanchez was gushing over this plan stating she loves the plan.

John and Ken asked some basic questions: How is an employer going to prove that he offered a job to an American citizen first?

How is the federal government going to check every single employer? How could this ever work?

Who is going to send them home?

It's not *automatic* amnesty, but incremental amnesty. This is exactly what this is, slow motion amnesty. They both stated this is going to be a nightmare on top of the existing disaster. This is nothing but amnesty and will cost us all billions more in taxes.

This is going to cost the country billions, more overcrowded schools, jails, freeways, more programs, jammed hospitals, etc etc.

50,000 watt KFI LA is asking if anyone is buying this plan? 99 percent of CA callers seemed quite outraged to put it mildly.

This is going to create another *massive* government bureaucracy and it still wont work.

KFI radio is no back water station. It's the west coast blow torch station. John and Ken just stated, the President and the government must think we are a bunch of idiots, and added that it's absolutely disgraceful.

They also added and both host agreed, that the Rush Limbaugh was doing nothing but spinning this today.

10,200,000 unemployed Americans. Who held all these jobs before the waves of illegals entered?

We need a Presidential candidate that is hard line on immigration. This current plan will cause nothing but chaos and problems for years to come.

Guest Tancredo came on and stated that Bush said the present law isn't working, yet they have refused to enforce the existing laws. Adding along with our existing laws, there are many solutions to stop this.

Trancredo states there is nothing in this that helps America. He states eventually there will no such thing as illegal immigration, and if one can get here, pay a small fee, that's it, they'll be legal.

Tancredo states, these employers will think, "Hey, I have ten opening that pay $10.00 an hour, if I just list them for $6.00 an hour, no citizens will show up, and my bottom line will look much better". Yeowza!

I hope many others tuned into this program. It was great. KFI was a key player in helping Gray Davis swing from the political rope. These guys are on the case.

Chris COX 949-756-2244 is waiting to hear from his constituents.

Go to KFI website. There is a list of representitives that can be emailed. I suggest everyone that cares go to that site and email these people.

Progam is still in progress....

Same reaction from callers here in the San Joaquin Valley on KMJ radio.

News media peddling "its good for agribusiness" and the callers are screaming for Bush's head on a platter.

Bush's Secret Immigration Ingredient:

(Toronto, Ontario) The first gay couple to be legally married in Canada has been refused entry into the United States.

Kevin Bourassa and Joe Varnell (pictured) were turned back this morning at Toronto's Pearson International Airport by US Customs and Immigration officers when they attempted to board a flight to Georgia.

Sanchez is the white woman who changed her to get the CA (illegal alien) democratic Mexican vote .... after losing several times to Dornan. (? sp)

If she supports it, it's because it helps democrats get illegal votes.

Nobody. You realize, of course, that our unemployment rate is fairly low historically.

NO HONESTY ON YOUR SIDE OF THE DEBATE.

This is also NOT amnesty, slow-motion or otherwise.

hese guys are on the case.

Well Bill Frist was saying today this will pass, no problem. And Denny Hastert, who used to be against illegal immigration now thinks it's wonderful too apparently.

They are basically telling the American people: "we don't care what you think or want", so we're going to need those in the media who are sympathetic more than ever to get the word out if we're going to stop the madness.

It's not "amnesty." It's a plea bargain. 8 million illegals have to plead guilty, pay a fine, register with our government, hold a job non-stop, pay taxes, and avoid committing felonies in order to remain here for the next 3 years.

At the end of those 3 years, they have to return to their home countries, and since they have Registered, we'll finally be able to compell them to do so.

The whole trick is getting them to first Register and then later deport themselves.

No wonder La Raza is upset; they've been out-Foxed.

The head of the Republican Party just declared the Republican Party to be the party of unlimited immigration to 6 billion Third-world people who are now free to be "willing workers" who need only line up a "willing employer" (a family member!) to get LEGAL permission to invade America. There is no limit to the numbers that the head of the Republican Party is welcoming to invade our nation.

By the way...what kind of audience was that listening to the Bush speech? When Bush paused, obviously expecting applause, the audience applauded. It couldn't have been any more robotic if there had been an "APPLAUSE" sign that lit up on the wall. Was this the gathered "leaders" of the Republican party? Yes, it was.

Amnesty is a terrible idea. Bush deserves to be humiliated on this, just like he was on the steal tariff. Cong. Galleghy of Ca. has already termed the plan Dead on Arrival. Let's hope no one resurrects this stupid idea.

The GOP leadership in the house now has to decide if it is independently interested in working for the public good or whether it is merely an adjunct of Bush's reelection campaign. There are times when Bush needs to be spanked for his own good. The Energy Bill filibuster was a prime example.

You're right in that the labor market is not static.

Jobs are constantly created or eliminated.

Unfortunately, both sides of the debate are being shouty and oversimplifying the issue and turning their opponents into straw men.

Since there isn't a specific written proposal so far, just the Presidents speech, I'm willing to give President Bush the benefit of the doubt, so far. Especially since the ideas were, from what I understand, largely crafted by Rep. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) whose ACU rating last year was 96%. Flake has been pushing for a guest worker program for years. http://acuratings.com/acu.cgi?ACT=1&USER_ID=239&YEAR=2002

And who's going to have the guts to enforce this? If an illegal gets busted for a felony, and shipped back to Mexico, all he's got to do is swim back, and just lay a little lower than he does now. Maybe not get s***faced drunk and blow his horn all Saturday night.

It's like watching an ineffectual parent trying to deal with a spoiled child!

"...Today, President Bush proposed a new temporary worker program to match willing foreign workers with willing U.S. employers when no Americans can be found to fill the jobs. The program would be open to new foreign workers, and to the undocumented men and women currently employed in the U.S...."

Wholesale attack with sleeper terms by the cheap labor lobby. They wrote it, you know.

Not people contriving a clever ruse to get people out in the future.

Anyway, any hope of deporting illegals three years from now...you think it would really stand?

OR you can simply fine all the businesses $100k per infraction and threaten jail-time to those who don't comply. Then we can offer an Amnesty period to businesses if they give up their illegals or face the fines/jail-time. Just like ANY OTHER LAW, a fine or jail-time or BOTH.

Before you know it all the illegals will be headed for the border. Once that program is underway they can accelerate the acceptance of existing LEGAL immigrants to fill the void left by the ILLEGALS. All the while we should improve security on the border to prevent any dangerous OTM's from crossing.
