BENGALURU, Aug 23 (Reuters) - An Indian spacecraft landed on the moon on Wednesday, the space agency said, in a mission seen as crucial to lunar exploration and India's standing as a space power, just days after a similar Russian lander crashed. For India, the successful landing marks its emergence as a space power as the government looks to spur investment in private space launches and related satellite-based businesses.

I told him that even if they were fake we should still say the landings are real. China is going to put a man on the moon in the next decade or so, and wouldn’t it be terrible if they could get away with claiming to be first?
Indeed we are. We are also going to be the first to put a non binary on the moon with the Artemis project. Not Artemis 3, that’s only sending a PoC and a woman, though it doesn’t explicitly say natural born or tranz. But one of the later ones.
Lucky for the moon that it has no atmosphere so it doesnt smell like India.
