A snake fell out of the sky and landed on a woman mowing her yard.
The bizarre incident didn’t stop there. Peggy Jones was then attacked by a hawk.
Jones was on her tractor mowing at her home in Silsbee, near Beaumont on Tuesday afternoon. She describes how suddenly a snake fell on her, wrapping around her arm.
“The snake was squeezing so hard, and I was waving my arms in the air. And then, this hawk was swooping down clawing at my arm over and over,” explains Peggy Jones. “I just kept saying, ‘Help me, Jesus, Help me, Jesus.’’

“I have not laughed so hard, inappropriately, in a long time.”
I laughed myself and I am certain this husband and wife will laugh themselves as they tell this story for years, as will their children and grand-children. It will be a part of their family lore telling the story of the time “Grandma was attacked by a snake and a hawk at the same time” (while Grandpa was sitting inside having a nice restful afternoon).
Climate change...
Juneau is full of them!
Why would she be cutting her husband?
No thanks. I wouldn't want a wife like that.
Very nice of Houston Channel 2 to give credit in bold.

History:
"The Aztecs in search of their promised land, were told by their god Huitzilopochtli, that when they would find the eagle devouring a serperent on a nopal cactus tree, they were to settle down in that place and found Tenochtitlan. " (I am assuming the snake was a rattlesnake!)
They need to close the border before the descendants of the Aztecs consider this a sign that they need to take Silsby for their new capital city in Texas!
In my area hawks really like to eat snakes. They are easy to swallow I believe.
The local hawks don’t bother with my pot-disturbing squirrels.
I was walking near dusk in Mississippi when a large owl flew on to a chimney not 20 feet away. There was not a sound when it flew by.
“This is seriously not funny and I am glad she survived!”
Of course it was not funny at the time it actually happened. I believe anyone on this site would have been scared for her and would have done their best to help the poor lady as she was being attacked.
However, in hindsight and with the re-telling of the events (tractor, snake, hawk, husband) it has all the necessary details of a Monty Python skit or a Jerry Clower** tale. I would bet the couple laughs when they tell the story.

multiple times in my life I have seen hawks fly through the air with snakes
and every time I get ready to run in case the snake drops his meal
yuck
hope it does not get infected
I would agree that in hindsight and since she’s doing fine they have a family story that’s an absolute hoot!
Unexpectedly.
Was she vaxed?
(Seriously, bless her heart!)
She probably didn’t have a drink holder on her lawnmower.
One can never be too careful.

Every week from May until the end of September or beginning of October. Those long days really make the grass grow. I only have about 5000 sq ft of yard to mow, but that pretty much fills up a 64 gallon trash can.
Hawk was paying attention and was trying to help her out.
Obviously...
Juneau is full of them!

Do Juneau that for certain?
