I think the US is backing the wrong side in the Ukraine invasion

I have come to believe that the US is backing the wrong side in the Ukrainian invasion, and it is not an accident.

Trump and Putin were the two most powerful nationalistic leaders in the world. They have zero interest in the Great Rest or the New World Order. They are all about their own countries--as they should be. They were chosen to lead their respective country--not as governors for some world leader we may or may not know about (Deep State).

Trump was "defeated" in 2020 at the polls and dismissed from leadership. We all know what happened with that, and there is no need to go into it any more. Biden, the ultimate puppet figurehead is now in place.

As FreeRepublic has already documented, George Soros has spoken his support for Ukraine, and Ukraine itself has spoken the quiet part out loud. This war was a trap for Putin, and he jumped in with both feet.

Putin is currently undergoing his own purge. With this invasion he was forced into, he will lose control of his country and will probably be forced into "retirement." While I was not aware of Ukrainian military abilities, it should be obvious to anyone on this board that Putin SHOULD have been fully aware of what the Ukrainian military can do, and what his own military can do. I can only conclude that he was given false information on both of these topics by his own people, leading to this invasion. It seems to me that Putin now has two options--lose this war, or go big. Both are scary for him and the world.

To our north, Trudeau is playing the puppet very well, so he will continue to "lead" Canada. I think we all know he does not call the shots up there, either.

I believe that I know who *does* call the shows around the world, but that is an opinion for another time.

A True Nationalist respects other Nations, Putin does not respect Ukraine as a Nation.

He fears them as a NATO member. With that, Russia would be wide open to attack, and ally Belarus encircled by NATO. This is suicidal for Putin, and he acted accordingly.

Great, so you think God chose him? Does that mean God also chose Dementia Joe to lead us?

Something a lot of people leave out of all this - the actual Ukrainians. Its THEY that don’t want Russia. And if the Ukraine is putting up a fight, its the Ukes that are doing it.

The model prevalent here is that its all just some bad guys doing X. These things aren’t about or by some few villains, its really about peoples, clashing with other millions of peoples. Its hard to picture this model of mass conflict, but that’s much closer to the truth than the personalized hatreds so normal in political argument.

In a way I think I understand the Ukes pretty well - I am a Basque by origin, my father and grandfather and grandmother were Basque nationalists, all working for independence from Spain for over a century. And the Ukes have a vastly greater beef vs Russia than the Basques had vs Spain.

These are real people, all existing and thinking and doing things irrespective of US political-social conflicts.

Three things changed in the past two years from all the other years regarding Ukraine.

Biden/Obama administration back in power.......Zelensky as President under US coaching.

Additionally.... several years of installing munitions, war machinery into Nato countries on Russia’s border.....and Nato officers in Ukraine training troops with other nations troops doing exercises in warfare on Ukraine soil.

Goal of the US has always been to break the relationship between Russia and the EU......and here we are.....then roll Ukraine over into the EU orbit using the war as reason to make Ukraine exempt from the rules.

Ultimately could mean Regime change in Russia......

The U.S and Russia should pool forces and take out China. Then take out the New World Order lair in Western Europe

I compare Ukrainians and Russians to Irish and English.

Most speak the same language, relatively few speak Gaelic, as relatively few speak Ukrainian.

Ukraine had the Holomodor and Ireland had the Potato Famine.

“The USA will try to bankrupt Russia, then the USA will bankrupt itself - and China will just be smiling from the sidelines.”

China will sell things to everyone and clean up. This worked very well for the US during WWI.

[He may be a thug. I agree. However, he is a Russian first—not a Deep State thug. ]

He is hiring Chechen terrorists to be his Praetorian Guard.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramzan_Kadyrov

When he goes, those terrorists might end up in charge. Saying he’s a Russian first means nothing. Of course he’s a Russian. What else could he be - an American? A Nigerian? The other thing he is? A billionaire 200 times over:

https://nypost.com/2015/02/16/investor-putin-could-be-worlds-richest-man-with-stolen-200b-fortune/

From a Russian standpoint, the issue with Putin isn’t that he kills his political opponents or has amassed large sums of money for himself. It’s that huge swathes of Russia remain undeveloped even as he vacuums up billions of dollars of state money into his personal accounts that were slated for things like roads and bridges. I understand that a king has his prerogatives. It would be nice, however, if he actually spread some of that money around on infrastructure to benefit the ordinary Russian, instead of spewing empty rhetoric about traditional values even as he installs a strip club in his palatial mansion:

I keep wondering where all of this consternation was when Putin was rolling in to the Crimea? What’s so special about the Ukraine? I think the world’s reaction is surprising Putin too.

We should not back the Ukrainian government but support the people of Ukraine with humanitarian aide. The government of Ukraine is corrupt and has allowed us tax dollars to be stolen and launder back to our corrupt politicians. We should not be on the side of the NWO, Great reset George Soros crowd.
Russia will not tolerate genocide of their people . Nor will they tolerate NATO and nuclear weapons on their borders.
We need to sit this war out unless it goes into Poland.

Let no one forget that Ukraine is the country of Jao Bai-din, Hunter Biden, Paul Pelosi, John Kerry Jr., Christopher Heinz (Kerry), and Alex Vindman.

Biden wants Russia to beat Ukraine and destroy all the evidence..

The corrupt US State Department, corrupt NSC, corrupt DC GOP Deep Staters and the corrupt American Democrat Party (collectively the corrupt Ukrainian shit show on parade during the “impeachment”) have been backing, then overthrowing, corrupt Ukrainian thug oligarchs since Obama’s highballing gravy train got rolling. The aforementioned corrupt US thug strongmen have been backing thugs in Ukraine for a while already.

WW1 started because after France’s brilliant tactic to forge alliance to ensure the next war would be so big and horrific that war would be unthinkable was revealed to be absolute bullocks because it failed to take into account that there were people who effectively wanted nothing more than to see the world burn.

Expanding NATO Willy nilly is similar in many respects. NATO was formed when interest of a much smaller group of nations found common cause but its expansion represents it becoming a sort of country club which needs someone to not be in it … and that alone made this new phase problematic.

The Eastern European nations should have forged their own alliance rather than become second fiddles to a number of continental nations that had as much demonstrated they viewed NATO as military welfare boosting local economies at American expense … well, unless the purpose of their jointing was to saddle on up to the bar….
