I received a 2020 Census letter today. I live in NY and have no intention of completing the census; i prefer not to assist NY in any way- including filling out the census so they get more aid from Washington which they ten disperse to illegals, criminals, etc. The envelope claims "your response is required by law." What, if any, are the ramifications of not filling out the census? Thanks.
I threw out the form from the last obamatard census and Will do same

They will call you ceaselessly and eventually show up at your residence to interview you. If you decline to participate in the in-person interview maybe they start something at this point, I have not gone beyond.
My parents died just before the last census was taken, so I know that the ramifications are simply a series of sternly worded follow up letters and, eventually, very nice but nervous door knockers.
Every year I get a similar questionnaire/form cause I own some Agriculture property.
Every year our beloved overlords threaten me the same way. Long arm of the law to punish me. Nothing every happens. I throw it out.
I yell at them through the door, “two citizens live here.” That’s all I’m telling you. “Now get off my property.”
I got one, and did it online. Took 5 minutes. If I was to do it over, I would have done the paper version.
With online, you can’t proceed to the next screen without answering the current one. I did some nonsense fill-in answers to get by the questions I wanted to not answer.
I figure it might be easier to just not answer a question here and there with the paper version.
Let me throw in my complaint. The census demands my phone number, but they don’t care if I’m a citizen or not (there are no citizenship questions ).
That doesn’t make me very happy.
A few years ago I got the extended form that asked all kinds of intrusive questions. I threw it out. For a few months I received letters and phone calls that I ignored.
Then it went away.
I always do the same thing. I fill out the number of people living at my address, one, and provide no other information. Then I avoid and ignore the Census employee who comes around seeking additional info until he gives up.
I never paid for obamacare and not once did the irs send me a letter nor did they deduct the amount. I wasn’t even on their radar.
They will take away your birthday.

I did like that they did not lump all whites into one category as usual but let you specify the particular ethnic origin you have. Normally they have all kinds of sub-categories for Asians and Hispanics but treat all non-Hispanic whites as one undifferentiated lump.

Received my census form last week ... received a duplicate today from our ever efficient gubmint.
The Census is a Constitutional requirement. Argue amongst yourselves. Defenders of the Constitution go first.

I had no problem with filling it out.
I will say under “race” I answered “Indy 500” but otherwise I was legit.
