I did the online version. Disappointed that they did not ask for place of birth. On the older censuses which are now available to the public, starting in 1850, that information can be very helpful to genealogists. Of course who knows what the state of genealogical research will be 72 years from now when the current census might be made available. Maybe by then it will be a hate crime to do genealogy (for causing distress to people who don't know who their father is).

I did like that they did not lump all whites into one category as usual but let you specify the particular ethnic origin you have. Normally they have all kinds of sub-categories for Asians and Hispanics but treat all non-Hispanic whites as one undifferentiated lump.

Yep. GLA: In 72 years, yer descendants will be pissed that they can’t find u in the census.

A very poor census. For geneology

I did mine too for the same reason. They have been valuable in my genealogy searches. I’m pretty much done with my tree on dad’s side. Have a little research on mom’s. Have a mystery couple on both trees (can’t find reliable info on them). Descend from their son on one side and a daughter on the other...so double cousins from there down...lol...and no, they weren’t from Alabama...from early Virginia.
