Stone tools uncovered in Mongolia by an international team of archaeologists indicate that modern humans traveled across the Eurasian steppe about 45,000 years ago, according to a new University of California, Davis, study. The date is about 10,000 years earlier than archaeologists previously believed.

Curiously, 45,000 years ago is almost the exact period of time that modern humans began to show up in Europe.

My guide when I visited Mongolia told me that human civilization originated in the Gobi desert in Mongolia.

Some time ago it occurred to me that all of human history can be seen as one prolonged episode of “white flight”.

Lol! Anthropologists wrong again. I wonder how many non-mainstream anthropologits had their careers ruined over this. Like the ones who said that humans were in the Americas befor Clovis. Re

“Curiously, 45,000 years ago is almost the exact period of time that modern humans began to show up in Europe.”

Great migrations of large human populations were happening 50,000 years before recorded/written history.

Whether following climate, game/resources, or motivated by the resident shaman, humans have been on the move.

Eventually, the tribes with superior organizational skills and/or methods produced better/smarter warriors and absorbed great numbers of peoples.

Then the War for Earth began, pitting Civilization against Civilization. And it continues to this day.

Don't underestimate the number that came from personality conflict.

You have to wonder why people were attracted to Mongolia? The climate sucks and it's hard to grow anything.

On the other hand, if you look at the peoples who have been through there, it seems to be a good place to be from, as in past tense.

Sure, *now*. :^) World was warmer, or the elevation was lower, or it was lower than the surrounding ice-covered terrain. :^)
