Pyne was before my time, attention-wise, but wasn’t Downey involved with the Kennedy Klan?
My Nat Geo collection goes back to the late 40’s. I still enjoy the old issues immensely, back before they decided the human race was the enemy.
It was relatively decent up until about the early 90s. I hung on till about 2005, then just couldn’t stand it any more.
I think he also pulled a gun during the watts riot in case “they come up Sunset” to the channel 11 studio in Hollywood.
Pyne’s death was concerning to many back then.

Biggest laff down here is the Palm Beach Post paper which posts a Left and Right thingy..Wapo is Right, and NYT is left...Wada world they live in !
Ones I really remember was when he and another man were discussing Custer's Last Stand, and he brought in an American Indian historian, and who can forget the weird group that was wanting a new nation of Aqualandia, composed of just ocean. When they sang the Aqualandia National Anthem, the men singing looked so embarrassed, except for the leader.

They are incapable of avoiding snark when it comes to the other side, and it is one of the many, many reasons that they are continuing to lose voters and elections.

It's exactly the same with me. I have a vague memory of Joe Pyne, but wasn't interested in watching that type of show at the time. I did watch Morton Downey Jr. on a regular basis. When Downey was diagnosed with lung cancer, he started appearing on interview shows like Larry King Live talking about his condition and trying to warn others about the dangers of smoking.
Pyne was the best!
I used to love the photography in the mag but once I read they honored eugenicist Margaret Sanger, founder of planned parenthood murderers, I have boycotted them.
By the way, how much taxpayer funding does that place get?
One of Pyne’s quotes (a former Marine) ‘Pyne closed one program by telling guest Anton LaVey, founder of the Church of Satan, “I’d like to tell you where to go, but you’d enjoy it.”’

I used to listen to Joe Pyne on the radio in the 1960s in L.A. Louis Lomax was also on the radio in L.A. around the same time.
Joe Pyne, Alan Burke and John Stormer molded my "skull full of mush" to ALWAYS question the media......and my government.
