Belligerent Alec Baldwin screamed at cops during arrest
By Larry Celona, Jamie Schram, Emily Smith and Bruce Golding
He is still a hater. Rage-a-holic actor Alec Baldwin was busted in Manhattan Tuesday over a belligerent rant against cops who caught him biking against traffic and then got the arresting officers Hispanic last name wrong when he lashed out at her on Twitter, sources told The Post. Officer Moreno, badge number 23388, arrested me and handcuffed me for going the wrong way on Fifth Ave, Baldwin tweeted after being sprung from the 13th Precinct stationhouse. Law-enforcement sources said the cop who busted Baldwin has a Hispanic last name, but its not Moreno and theres no one at the 13th Precinct with that name.

"Freedom is the sure possession of those alone
who have the courage to defend it."
I'd say Manhattan qualifies.
A$$holes call each other alec baldwin when they want to insult each other.
Probably waiting for the right price from TMZ.
Funny how the ultra lib gets hoisted on his own petard.
It really matters little if he mixes up O’Flaherty with O’Flannagan.
But ha ha, Moreno mixed up with, say, Madero and he is racist.
He should have moved to Europe.
He will be a perfect candidate for political office running as a Demorat!
Whats in your wallet?
Apparently nothing worthwhile.
Somebody needs a good 'ol Hickory Shampoo
Isn't that akin to wet water or slippery slime?
The attention ho Baldwin machine must have run out of yoga poses.
Speaking of crimes, the Affirmative Action Officer must, must I say, be written up for a really bad hairdo
That Uniform makes her look really fat
Her patrol car is making a bad traffic situation even worse,
Wait, Wait! This just in ...... officer's surname reported as "Crisco."
Because she's fat in the can.
Does it bother anyone else that he was arrested for not having ID?
About a month or two ago, Baldwin wrote an hilarious screed denouncing NYC, the media, Mika Brezenski and that he was putting his home up for sale and moving to L.A. Wha’ happened?!
Baldwin on a bike?
A double dose of smug there
This guy is like watching a rabid squirrel cross the highway, except he never gets hit. :(
POST OF THE DAY
He is therefore biologically unable to tolerate Manhattan. He's damn lucky Officer Conchita Banana didn't have him deported.
I agree. People who don’t live in NY have no idea how dangerous it is to ride against the traffic as he was caught doing. Elderly and slow-moving people have to dodge maniac bicyclists every day. This is not some surburban enclave where folks ride around in bulbous helmets and giant kneepads. Crazed, high-as-kite messengers fly through the city at speeds unimaginable to people who do not live here. I loathe these people! Baldwin should not have been doing this, should have accepted his ticket and moved on. But, of course, he had to have his little temper tantrum.
He’s from Massapequa, Long Island, I believe. Many wealthy folks live there. My aunt had a beautiful home on the Sound.
Arec Bardrin awrays berrigerent...
Great to live in a liberal mecca where you need a ID to ride a bicycle but you don’t need an ID to vote.
Big gov. liberal Baldwin deserves to be judged by the policies he helped bring into fruition.
I grew up in NYC and moved out a few years ago when I finally woke up. NYC is what happens when liberals are allowed to run amok. Cops will arrest you for anything, I like to call it “North Korea with food” but only the food they allow you to eat.
So now he is against government revenue enhancements?????
I thought you were moving to France, Arec!?!
The police shoot people and dogs so why not Alec Baldwin?
Why does he get a break???.
If she was in Massapequa it was the Great South Bay she looked out on. The Sound would be North Shore and a shade tonier I think.
My relatives in Massapequa currently pay 18000.00 a year in taxes.
Perhaps. She was very wealthy, the house was lovely. She was the only rich relative I had and she was wonderful.
He was arrested because he committed other crimes and they needed to do a warrant check. Take it to the Supreme Court if you like.
Guy looked nd sounds like Queens Village to me! Plus he has that belligerent Queens Village attitude ... like McEnroe the Tennis Player.
These tragic social errors and mistakes often happen to (prejudiced) country fellows who make too casual a study of the many strange Noo Yawk neighborhood sub species.
The Supreme Court decided a while back that people do have a right to cuss at cops. My recommendation is to do it after all the administrative work has been done, otherwise you could affect the officer's ability to recognize you.
One of these days he is really going to hurt someone while acting like the as*Ihole he really is.
“People who dont live in NY have no idea how dangerous it is to ride against the traffic as he was caught doing.”
No, no, no Alec. Riding against traffic is a GREAT idea. To make sure you can hear every sight and sound, don’t bother with a helmet either. And ride fast, really fast. You’re a BIG star, so don’t worry about stopping or yielding - none of those rules apply to you.
(With any luck at all, a New York taxi will accomplish what we’ve all wished for!)
Personally, I respect that he doesn’t wear a helmet. Very macho. In all other ways in this story, he’s a moron.
They “needed” to do a warrant check? Says who? The cops? Was there probable cause to arrest him so they could run their warrant check? No. You’re dead wrong.
In the United States, you’re under no obligation to carry ID unless you’re driving a car. You can’t be arrested for not carrying ID, even if it thwarts police desire to run a warrant check on you.
The police arrested him so they could run a warrant check on him because he didn’t have ID. Patently illegal and everyone should be outraged by this.
Please list all the “crimes” you think he was arrested for, besides not carrying an ID. And don’t mention imaginary ones like “disorderly conduct.”
I dont’ like Baldwin, but this arrest is disturbing. Increasingly, Americans are being arrested, tased, or worse for back-talking their rulers.
In Chicago, known as a “tune up” or as you aptly described, a “wood shampoo”
Five Franks my friend
“Personally, I respect that he doesnt wear a helmet.”
Well it’s not as if he’s putting a lot at risk.
Yes, the brain power is not exactly overwhelming...
This has become a foreign country, esp. NYC, LA, and Miami
It’s weird, because he’s never had an episode like this before.
Yeah, I blacked out a little as I typed that.
I don’t think we need to review his entire past, like when he called his own daughter a little pig over the phone. This topic is at least the fourth about his latest, someone (not me) put “5thtopic” in the keyword.

LOL. Tune up!
Please list all the crimes you think he was arrested for, besides not carrying an ID.In the not figurative words of the Baldwin twit
"Officer Moreno, badge number 23388, arrested me and handcuffed me for going the wrong way on Fifth Ave"
Once again, a traffic infraction is not a criminal offense. An arrest is outrageous. I don’t care how much you dislike Baldwin.
Go ahead and join the case. You won’t make it past the first judge.
I’m not “joining any case.” I’m not arguing in front of a judge.
I’m asking, on a conservative forum, why everyone is okay with cops arresting someone because he didn’t have ID on him. The Supreme Court has said that’s not against the law.
The Supreme Court has also said you can’t be arrested for “backtalk” or even foul language directed at cops. And that neither offense qualifies as “disorderly conduct.”
His arrest was clearly unlawful.
Yet everyone here is rejoicing as if this is some sort of conservative triumph. It’s the opposite — it’s another defeat mile marker on the road to fascism. Those with guns and badge are making the rules now, and they’re making them up as they go along.
And crowing happily about Baldwin’s arrest displays a distressing lack of intelligence on the part of conservatives.
You're arguing against a strawman. Maybe this will help:
New York Criminal Procedure Law sec. 140.10(1)(a) states in pertinent part a police officer may arrest a person for: (a) Any offense when he has reasonable cause to believe that such person has committed such offense in his presence. Speeding is an offense. Speeding is a traffic infraction, which is an offense. Despite the fact that traffic infractions are non-criminal offenses, technically CPL 140.10(1)(a) allows an officer to arrest you for speeding if committed in his presence. LinkThe Supreme Court has also said you cant be arrested for backtalk or even foul language directed at cops.
See my post #31 on this thread. You still have to be careful when you cuss and how you do it.
And crowing happily about Baldwins arrest displays a distressing lack of intelligence on the part of conservatives.
You're the one making a display.
"I saw that movie, too. Case dismissed."
