I thought he had moved to a foreign country?

This has become a foreign country, esp. NYC, LA, and Miami

It’s weird, because he’s never had an episode like this before.

Yeah, I blacked out a little as I typed that.

I don’t think we need to review his entire past, like when he called his own daughter a little pig over the phone. This topic is at least the fourth about his latest, someone (not me) put “5thtopic” in the keyword.

Thanks GrandJediMasterYoda.

Please list all the “crimes” you think he was arrested for, besides not carrying an ID.
In the not figurative words of the Baldwin twit

"Officer Moreno, badge number 23388, arrested me and handcuffed me for going the wrong way on Fifth Ave"

Once again, a traffic infraction is not a criminal offense. An arrest is outrageous. I don’t care how much you dislike Baldwin.

Go ahead and join the case. You won’t make it past the first judge.

I’m not “joining any case.” I’m not arguing in front of a judge.

I’m asking, on a conservative forum, why everyone is okay with cops arresting someone because he didn’t have ID on him. The Supreme Court has said that’s not against the law.

The Supreme Court has also said you can’t be arrested for “backtalk” or even foul language directed at cops. And that neither offense qualifies as “disorderly conduct.”

His arrest was clearly unlawful.

Yet everyone here is rejoicing as if this is some sort of conservative triumph. It’s the opposite — it’s another defeat mile marker on the road to fascism. Those with guns and badge are making the rules now, and they’re making them up as they go along.

And crowing happily about Baldwin’s arrest displays a distressing lack of intelligence on the part of conservatives.

You're arguing against a strawman. Maybe this will help:

New York Criminal Procedure Law sec. 140.10(1)(a) states in pertinent part “a police officer may arrest a person for: (a) Any offense when he has reasonable cause to believe that such person has committed such offense in his presence.” Speeding is an offense. Speeding is a traffic infraction, which is an offense. Despite the fact that traffic infractions are non-criminal offenses, technically CPL 140.10(1)(a) allows an officer to arrest you for speeding if committed in his presence. Link
The Supreme Court has also said you can’t be arrested for “backtalk” or even foul language directed at cops.

See my post #31 on this thread. You still have to be careful when you cuss and how you do it.

And crowing happily about Baldwin’s arrest displays a distressing lack of intelligence on the part of conservatives.

You're the one making a display.

Officer:
"Perdonáme, Jore Honor, But I seen Meester Balween's las moobie, and den, he make a 'furtive move toward his waist band' so I shots heen."

Judge:
"I saw that movie, too. Case dismissed."

About a month or two ago, Baldwin wrote an hilarious screed denouncing NYC, the media, Mika Brezenski and that he was putting his home up for sale and moving to L.A. Wha' happened?

I think it's on his bucket list, right after the move to Paris once Bush was elected/re-elected. Or maybe he meant Jeb.

At least he provide many guffaws when he married his yoga instructor, Hilaria!
