What if George Zimmerman had approached his neighborhood watch mission carrying Christs parable of the Good Samaritan in his heart?
Did Zimmermans concept of who is my neighbor? correspond to Christs?
What if foremost in Zimmermans mind had been Christs message of blessed are the meek, the peacemakers, the merciful?
What if he had had the courage and wisdom to remember the Bibles many admonitions to fear not and cheerfully engage Trayvon in conversation, giving the young man a chance to show his attitude without being put on the defensive?
While the jurys outcome may be in line with current legal constraints, moral justice has certainly not been served, and we are all now less secure in our personal liberties. Zimmermans brand of vigilantism befriends a police state, rather than civilized rule of law.
My heart aches for the family and friends of Trayvon, and trembles that so many of my countrymen want their versions of Christianity in our laws and schools, yet have no concern about Zimmermans handling of this incident in such an un-Christian manner, and the law that has rewarded him for that.

It doesn’t end there either.
GZ would have been the one that died that night!
And he would have come back in three days. ;)
Ten bucks says that the poser of this question is an atheist.
I have asked people who disagreed with the verdict to lay their head on the curb so I can repeatedly smash it.
Funny how I never get any takers!
I thank you for all your work in uncovering all these things. You literally cannot make this stuff up. Surely there must be dueling Jesus analogies out there? A WWZD vs. a WWTD kind of thing? We need to do a comparison.
What if Saint skittles had walked up and said “Hello” instead of pounding GZ’s head into the concrete?
Then George Zimmerman would be dead.
This is a Black Rage Ping List, (by request,) to cover the aftermath of the GZ trial and archive the incidents. Let me know. And please add "blackrage" to the keywords. Click the link for anything you might have missed. Thank you.
Laura needs to watch a few Rev Manning videos.
If Christ was in Zimmerman’s shoes, I’m sure that Trayvon Martin would have also beaten up that creepy ass cracker.
What if Trayvon Martin had?
It’s letters like this that I like to simply put the opposite view in place almost verbatim ...
What if Trayvon Martin had approached his neighborhood watch person carrying Christs parable of the Good Samaritan in his heart?
Did Martins concept of who is my neighbor? correspond to Christs?
What if foremost in Martins mind had been Christs message of blessed are the meek, the peacemakers, the merciful?
What if he had had the courage and wisdom to remember the Bibles many admonitions to fear not and cheerfully engage Zimmerman in conversation, giving the neighbnorhood watchman a chance to show his attitude without being put on the defensive?
Two can play that game.
Why didn’t Zimmerman act more like Christ? Because he lacked Christ’s power. Otherwise he might have blinded Trayvon Martin with a flash of light, knocked him to the ground and said, “Trayvon, why do you persecute me?” (see Acts 9:4).
He would have been falsely accused of crimes by people looking for an excuse to hate him and then he would have been crucified while leadership washed their hands of the matter.
It’s hard to tell anymore which denomination is best at stamping “sucker” on your forehead when you come to church, Evangelicals or Catholics.......
MALCHUS, I SAID WHAT IF ZIMMERMAN...
Thus sayeth the Lord thy God, "PREPARETH YE THE WAY OF THE BUTTHURT!!"
That would be the Muslims...
We’re supposed to turn the other cheek, but Zimmerman had run out of noses...
