Newt tells it like it is on Greta [VANITY]

Posted on 09/20/2012 7:25:40 PM PDT by publana

If you missed Greta tonight, you might want to catch it on the rerun. Newt, as only he can, eviscerated Obama, Hillary, and Susan Rice on Greta tonight.

I thought I read Newt was banned from FOXNEWS? This, on the night Pawlently left.

I would LOVE to see Newt out on the stump for Romney and getting SOS position.

He did great.

Did you notice Obama referred to the protests as “...the NATURAL protests...” over the movie trailer.

NATURAL? What is natural about insane Muslims rioting over some internet video?

The $70,000 Obama spent apologizing should have been spent to educate these backwards morons on Free Speech and why it’s important.

I am warming to Greta. I watched last night and tonight. Her line up of guests has been great. She’s not full of herself and she lets guests talk. Compare that to the 8 and 9 pm shows.

I loved it. I so enjoy listening to Newt. I went to see him this Spring @ the U.S. Space & Rocket Center.

Why would he have been banned from Fox News? Maybe as a commentator while he was still running. But yep, he has been MIA on Fox lately. Glad to see him back.

Such a very smart man. I know some don’t like him, but I do.

Bet he could fix Washington from the inside. At least make many needed repairs.

It took me awhile to get use to her too. I finally started liking her in ‘08 with Palin. Before that, I thought she was more left than right. Now I think she is slightly right of center.

If Newt was Secretary of State, foreign countries would have nervous breakdowns and be on Prozac and eat Poppies all day. Muslims would also shut themselves in their mosques and pray to Allah for mercy all day.

They dumped him as a paid contributor when he criticized their treatment of him - they weren’t giving him any time but Romney got plenty of time.

Thanks publana. Newt will wind up his career and life as the Republican Humphrey, having publicly embraced positions from the other side of the aisle (global warming poppycock, for one thing) and been known for his speaking, and having been close to the Presidency, but never having achieved it.

The main problem with Greta is that she does not allow the viewer to learn the opinion of her guest.

For example, once a guest has launched an idea, Greta stops the idea cold with her”tough” questions such as “But how can you say that when other people say exactly the opposite?’

All guests on Greta should be given a buzzer to bleep out Greta’s intereuption, and complete the thought for the benefit of the audience, and for the consternation of Greta and her producers.

Brit Hume took every possible opportunity to eviscerate Gingrich. Hume’s personal vendetta against Newt was clearly evident and Hume was extremely unprofessional. I lost every ounce of respect for Brit and will never believe anything he says again. Because of Hume, fox treated Gingrich terribly, if I was him I would tell them to go to hell and never walk on their set again.

Rick Klein from Time mag and Crowley from the WaPo are both liberal jerks that spin everything in favor of Obama. I can’t stand them and don’t understand why Greta lets them ramble on the Dem talking points.

I’ve long considered Greta to be the best interviewer in the FNC evening lineup of programs. She can be irritating when she starts talking fast and trying to ask a question while the other person is still answering her previous question; gets REAL screechy!

“What is natural about insane Muslims rioting over some internet video?”
Perhaps the definitions of sanity and its antitheses, their defining features and boundaries, are culturally conditioned. Thus, reactions of Muslims to certain emotional stimuli that you and I deem insane (e. g., murderous rants and rampages), to them are natural and rational. Try to be understanding, compassionate, and very watchful.

I agree with you about Brit Hume. I have been disgusted with his attitude toward Mittens and Paul Ryan in general lately. And add in that reprehensible Peggy Noonan, the nobody from 20 years ago.

Hume lost my respect some time ago as he wears his arrogance on his sleeve, lording over others in some snide ways. He did treat Gingrich badly and tough cookies, I say. I want Mittens to come out against the media, OR at least some Pac that runs ads for him. Newt would do a good job for Mittens in some areas.

I love Newt, but I think he’s a bit too “in your face” to be Secretary of State.

My choice would be John Bolton - which would be a real stick in the eye to the State Dept. - and probably a better choice to remold that dept to better serve the President, instead of the radical left.

How about Liz Cheney - She’s so smart - and she is definitely a chip off the old block - as Under Secretary.

“Natural” response.

This is the conditioning Obama and the anti-First Amendment crowd must have to do away with our rights. If reacting violently to an anti-Islamic article or movie is involuntary or ‘natural’ or expected / predictable / cause-effect status, then that is ‘non speech’ hate speech (thank you Orwell) and, thus, not protected.

Remember Obama’s lament that he couldn’t stop Terry Jones from burning a Koran? Just wished there were some way to get around that pesky ‘negative liberties’ Constitution.

International law trumps our Constitution to the Obama types. That’s how they’ll get rid of our basic rights.

Newt is such a courageous man. Remember when he kept congress in session during the wee hours of the morning..drafting the contract? he did not cave...the govt shut down and the republicans won one of the biggest victories in my life time. I am ashamed of the establishment for forgetting the immense accomplishments of the speaker.
As for the crisis facing our country in the middle east..Newt knows more than the majority of pols would learn in a lifetime. I admire him even more than I thought possible for coming to MO to help raise funds for Akin. God be with the wonderful Speaker and with Todd Akin.

Mitt Romney will never have the political, and historical knowledge that Gingrich has. No one in the Republican Party has the ability to articulate a message as well as Gingrich and no one in the current party has done more for conservatives than Gingrich. His resume says he should be the nominee.

I totally agree again.... Gingrich is a history expert. Do you remember that the “ethics” committee nailed Newt for teaching a history course while in congress. Oh the horrors. Now the ethics committee says it is ok for Reid to have his son making gazillions at our expense, for Pelosi’s husband to get special dispensation from min. wage issues, and on and on and on...... nothing to see here folks, move on.

Mittens better dump that Steve fellow that is his campaign mgr, from what I hear, friends or not and get “series and hugh” as we say here on FR about this upcoming election. Take off the gloves and start telling the USA WHAT he will do different. We all know this clown in the WH is a dangerous person but those mushy independents need to be hit upside the head to vote for mittens, I guess.

Needs repeating........ I DO remember his courage, then I also remember the GOP took him down. AAAAAAAAACH. We needed a tea party back then. Also, I did not know he went to MO to raise money for Akin. Was that after Akin blabbed that statement? I DO hope Akin wins. I am sick that the GOP folks including mittens dumped on Akin. Yes he should not have said that, but get over it. Claire needs to go.

Newt is coming to MO on Sept. 24th to host a fundraiser for Akin. He blasted Rove over the murder comment and he went after the GOP for dumping Akin. Cheers to the Speaker.
WaterWeWaitinFor...the gop road on Newt’s back during the time he lead the gop revolution. Today they all try to take credit for it but we know the truth. Reagan loved Newt and Newt was tea party before it became popular.
