Only global poverty can save the planet, insists WWF - and the ESA!

Extremist green campaigning group WWF - endorsed by no less a body than the European Space Agency - has stated that economic growth should be abandoned, that citizens of the world's wealthy nations should prepare for poverty and that all the human race's energy should be produced as renewable electricity within 38 years from now.

Most astonishingly of all, the green hardliners demand that the enormous numbers of wind farms, tidal barriers and solar powerplants required under their plans should somehow be built while at the same time severely rationing supplies of concrete, steel, copper and glass.

The WWF presents these demands in its just-issued Living Planet Report for 2012. It's a remarkable document, not least for the fact that it is formally endorsed for the first time by the European Space Agency (ESA)..."

The damn WWF gets to damn much money. Mostly from the American tax payer, one way or another. And the average joe blow or jane have not a clue as to what has been the thoughts of that organization. The majority of people that are aware of it, and some who have contributed to it via., say Income tax payments owed on their 1040’s are clueless as how these folks want to totally screw America. Dopes abound on the planet earth.

Did these morons consider that if we all lived in poverty, the smoke from billions of cookfires and woodfires would create a giant brown cloud over every populated area, the way it does in parts of Asia?

No fires!

Even this grim poverty-stricken dystopia, though, is not the biggest of the WWF demands. The real biggy is that by the year 2050 all energy is to be supplied in the form of renewables-generated electricity, that is by means of windfarms, solar plants, tidal barriers and so forth. For almost all of human history and prehistory we have burned things to generate energy - it is one of the things that makes us human - but now, within a single generation, that is to almost completely stop. After a million years, the fires will go out.

Your Personal Pinwheel will supply power for your (allowable) needs...and, as an added bonus, it also slices and dices...and cooking is not among them: communal kitchens (cf "Amana Colonies") will be the norm, but handing out glops of uncooked gruel & and raw veggies, instead of good German meals.

You can probably hire some people to pedal bicycle type devices that will generate electricity. Only cost a few hands full of rice (oh wait rice culture is a big GHG generator.

No, because its not about the enviroment unless your talking about the enviroment of all out government control over everyones lives. And because of that, we get these flakes that ooze out of some hole and spout utter illogical and unreasoned nonsese. They sputter, they avoid any debate on the last thing they said, the always try to go over the top in an effort to gain attention from the public not to mention instill fear in their hearts as a way to get them to act accourding to these peoples desires for power and control. Furtunatly enough, there is point to how nutty they can sound before that light bulb in the publics mind starts to turn on and ironically that also means these nut jobs will get even more desperate for the fleeting power that they desire and go further of the reservation.
