Excellent point. The author really is comparing two different things, isn’t he (she?)?
“The Texas State Guard (TXSG) is one of three branches of the military forces of Texas, reporting to the Adjutant General, and under the command of the Governor. The other branches of the State Military Forces of Texas are the Texas Army National Guard, and the Texas Air National Guard.”

Always a great read this time of year.

I agree. Article is a pile of crap.
What I notice from this comparison is that the “Five Truths Republicans Hate” is couched as topics where GOP may be in majority agreement with the Left. In the “Five Truths Liberals Hate”, the truths are couched as universals and most likely areas where there would be no agreement with the opposition.
Liberals and Republicans hate the truth. They’re pretty much the same flavor - like Dr. Pepper and Cherry Coke.
Because you don't understand how it actually works.
Your money was stolen from you and given to strangers who didn't work.
Now, you are being paid with money stolen from strangers so that you don't have to work.
The lie you believe isn't true, no matter how strongly you believe it. SS is a Ponzi scheme/shell game supported by moral bankruptcy, sloth, theft, and ignorance.
And that's the truth.
I think that you are wrong here. It may have changed but I believe that Eisenhower "Nationalized" the Arkansas National Guard in the Little Rock School Integration against the wishes of the Arkansas Governor, Faubus.
The next day, President Dwight D. Eisenhower ordered the 1,200-man 101st Airborne Battle Group of the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division from Fort Campbell, Kentucky, to escort the nine students into the school. By the same order, the entire 10,000 man Arkansas National Guard was federalized, to remove them from the control of Governor Faubus.
Sure, with Adam's Fall ('Original Sin') we all became slaves to the Tyranny of Sin and Death...
And the solution to both is Freedom by becoming a 'slave' (servant) to Christ.
It almost seems like the natural state of man is slavery. Maybe that's because it is. These days in America, lots of people routinely vote for politicians that promise to make the government their master and expand the government's control over ever more of your everyday life.
Thank you for saving me a post on that matter...
When it comes to socialist insecurity, there is no money there. You were lied to.
I know it is hard to take, but it is the truth.
You were defrauded by the federal government. You were ripped off.
To those that are ever hospitalized, You have been getting generics for years unless the Doctor specifically request band names and that was back in the 80's when I worked in the hospital....There are now thousands of generics.....
Interesting that the earlier one was on “Liberals”, but this one is on “Republicans”. Kinda saves the dirty bastard from having to point out the KKK and other racist roots of the so-called Democratic Party. Thanks Tolerance Sucks Rocks.
That is good insight - and the message of the Bible.
Man was made perfect, but with the Fall we became slaves to satan and sin: slaves to materialism; entitlements from the government; lusts; all sort of chains that satan is happy to ensnare mankind...
But ... But... God so loved the world that HE gave HIS only begotten SON that whosoever believeth on HIM should not perish but have everlasting life...
Yes, as we believe in the LORD we become HIS 'slaves' - but it is a 'slavery' that makes us free. No longer in bondage to sin and satan.
Interesting that the counterpoint to “5 truths liberals hate” is “5 truths Republicans hate”. What? Aren’t there any truths that conservatives hate?
Actually, as a conservative, I believe that to be true. There are no truths for us to hate because actually most (or all) of the things we believe are true.
Imagine that.
This says there was 44 nays
