The people whose money was stolen should take action against those who steal and stole it. I don't think that's likely to happen as long as they feel themselves entitled to seek "compensation" from people who had nothing to do with the original theft.

Well put...and a whole lot more civil than I am thinking...
What does a person do then? Give up social security? I’m serious. Not trying to be a smart alek. And if a person does that wouldn’t it require millions of people doing that to make any difference? So then the federal government just gets a free pass on stealing billions of dollars of the peoples money and doesn’t even have to pay it back out to the people who contributed it to start with.
A tricky situation to be sure. If nothing else, attempt to "earn" the money by working to minimize future theft (either in the guise of SS or other forms).
