Trump's Either Telling Us We Have Superweapons More Powerful Than Nukes...
Jalopnik ^ | September 16, 2019 | Kyle Mizokami

Twice in the last month, the President of the United States has claimed that the Pentagon has weapons even more powerful than nuclear weapons, with the ability to easily kill millions. He is either bluffing, confused, or is incapable of understanding the difference between conventional and nuclear weapons.

President Donald Trump made the claim during remarks to commemorate the 18th anniversary of the September 11th attacks in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania.

According to The Washington Post, Trump told an audience, emphasis mine:

“The last four days, we have hit our enemy harder than they have ever been hit before, and that will continue,” Trump said, apparently referring to the Afghanistan war and drawing applause from the crowd. “And if for any reason they come back to our country, we will go wherever they are and use power the likes of which the United States has never used before — and I’m not even talking about nuclear power. They will never have seen anything like what will happen to them.”

Remember that? It was like an “earthquake”? And suddenly Kim was all smiles. There was a story that 200 of their engineers got taken out.

Rods from God. Is there seriously anyone who hasn’t assumed that we have had those since Reagan?

Exactly. They are probably the cheapest weapon to have. All those secret trips on the space shuttle were there for a reason. That's what happened to the NORK nuclear program.

LOL. Of course we do. Tungsten rods the size of telephone polls dropped from orbit with an impact speed of about Mach 10. It’s old tech. We’ve probably had them for about 30 years.

God rods - metal telephone poles launched from space at a ground target at extream velocity (mach 6+)

Delusion is not a movie theater. Not denying things hit the buildings, just telling you that 500,000 tons of gravity yanked mass never made it to the bathtub. The mass arrived at street level mostly as dust, and not from ‘pancaking’.

There are also weapons that can induce confusions and psychosis in a population from a distance. Imagine the difficulty the Iranian regime could face if the stress factor was upped by several factors in the general population.

what the hell is that drone shuttle doing anyway?

If I had to make a guess I'd say its main purpose is to check LEO satellites for neutron emission. Such a low orbit sat could cripple the US if it had a nuke on board designed to maximize EMP effects.

But you cannot mask the neutron emission from such a device without shielding it with a lot of hydrogen...i.e. water...lots of water.

The design would likely call for ejecting small steerable drones to approach a sat, do the test, leave a happy little package attached to the sat in case it's ever needed.

The whole business would not be that hard to engineer...so I'm guessing since it is doable we are doing it.

Manhattan Project, the SOSUS network, the ELF antenna, HAARP, Cold War underground cities, SDI, etc., etc.,

Don't forget Stuxnet..

Exactly - it probably references a different TYPE of power. Lasers perhaps. Computer viruses to disrupt weapon systems, the power grid, communications, etc. Perhaps a local EMP weapon to shut down all electrical systems. I’m guessing and hoping that it isn’t a chemical, virus or similar weapon. Plus - Iran already knows about that “power” from their own use of it.

Ca 1978, Shreveport Times, one line: “The US Air Force confirmed today that they had successfully shot down a missile using laser technology”. No other comment. I remember thinking to myself... “this should be front page news”. I was an E8 at Barksdale at the time. What has happened in the 40 years since in R&D?

Scary, but you may be correct.

Socialism is not compatible with human nature.

When you fight human nature you will lose bigly.

Our nature is to be free, work hard to provide well for our families, and when able, to be charitable to friends and even strangers.

It is not our nature to labor under the hobnailed boot of government oppression just so we can provide for those who will not work.

Alms for the infirm, nothing for bureaucratic thieves or the lazy.

It’s been 74 years since we exploded atom bombs over Hiroshima and Nagasaki... Of course we have new and better weapons. We didn’t even have TV 74 years ago... and I’m talking the little black and white TV’s...

No we don’t.

1) It was an interesting concept but, like all things space, very expensive.

2) If you know anything about orbit mechanics you would know you can’t be everywhere all the time and orbit revisits could be many hours to a half day.

3) gravity alone doesn’t get you Mach 10, in fact the speed slows down to a few hundred mph due to atmospheric drag

4) with hypersonics we can get there faster with sub orbital systems than waiting for proper orbit geometry and that (hypersonics) is the next tech

5) having systems based on the ground keeps cost down, let’s you upgrade much easier and cheaper, lets you test easier.

You can believe some old copy of popular mechanics if you like, but we dont have them. We may have prototyped the idea during the Cold War under Reagan, but certainly never operationalized.

I’ve explained this in the past. If you could drop anything from orbit and hit the earth at Mach 10, then we would all be dust from the meteor strikes that bombard the earth routinely. The atmosphere slows and oblates all those rocks. But you would have to understand some real atmospheric physics to know this.

Jump in technology?

It’s a fancy metal phone pole that falls out of the sky when you discount the painstaking construction.

And we ran those shuttles for how many years?
How many could be in orbit? Why do we put so much effort into creating blacker blacks?

The norms blew up the inside of a mountain multiple times until it collapsed. No rods from god. But go on and believe what makes you happy.

It would need targeting systems and launch systems. There has to be a method for a launch and acceleratiom prior to allowing gravity to take hold. Reagan looked to SDI as the ultimate in defense agaist ICBMs. I do not think he saw space as a location for offensive weapons. Treaties have been signed and ratified outlawing such weapons. The Soviets/ Russians have enough sophistication to locate any launch platforms and would certainly develop ways to target them or at least reveal their existence.

It’s not high tech, but it is physics. It used to be treaties as well, but I think the treaties may be null and void at this point.
