Twice in the last month, the President of the United States has claimed that the Pentagon has weapons even more powerful than nuclear weapons, with the ability to easily kill millions. He is either bluffing, confused, or is incapable of understanding the difference between conventional and nuclear weapons.
President Donald Trump made the claim during remarks to commemorate the 18th anniversary of the September 11th attacks in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania.
According to The Washington Post, Trump told an audience, emphasis mine:
“The last four days, we have hit our enemy harder than they have ever been hit before, and that will continue,” Trump said, apparently referring to the Afghanistan war and drawing applause from the crowd. “And if for any reason they come back to our country, we will go wherever they are and use power the likes of which the United States has never used before — and I’m not even talking about nuclear power. They will never have seen anything like what will happen to them.”

Some believe -and I am one of them- that a weapon was used on the towers in 2001. Those 500,000 ton buildings were turned to dust as they collapsed. Something literally dissociated the molecules in the substances, creating an extremely fine powder from steel, Aluminium, concrete, wood, people, toilets, plumbing pipes, etc.
I would not be so quick as Mr. Mizokami to dismiss antimatter weapons.
Or there could be other weapons in the offing that are classified.
Implying that DJT is a lying, ignorant idiot who just happened to be walking down the street one fine day when he tripped on his own shoelace and fell onto several billion dollars just lying there waiting to be picked up is a very foolish thing to do.

My interpretation is that he means we can mount devastating conventional attacks and he’s just assuring the public he’s not planning to use nuclear weapons.
We do not have rods from god.
If the president of the nation that brought forth the Manhattan Project, the SOSUS network, the ELF antenna, HAARP, Cold War underground cities, SDI, etc., etc., says that we have weapons more powerful or destructive than nukes, we should assume that we do.
I believe that America becomes the Second Beast of Revelations. It becomes so when it finally becomes a socialist nation.

The President may be just dropping hints about either the coming terrible earthquake that reduces Mecca to sand or the strange unexplained contamination of all middle east water supplies with pork extracts...
The Rods are quite a jump in technology. I think Pournelle had some inkling from contacts in DARPA that we were looking at the possibility of doing this in the future. But even now I don’t think the tech is there. One caveat... the X37b. It is not up there to break records .
