You won't find this on any local news, but what is happening is a crime on a massive scale. Here's the story. My friend works at a section 8 apartment complex, which means that the taxpayers pay most of the rent there. Last week he sent me this picture of a late model Jaguar parked at his complex.
His caption of the picture was "Section 8, rent always late". I asked him how much was their rent. "It just went up, to $80." A MONTH?!! "A month." This means that taxpayers are providing the Jag owner over $1,000 a month to cover most of their rent, with an $80 balance that is always late. It gets worse. The complex is full of high dollar cars, who's owners all get most of their rent paid for by the taxpayers.
A little here about my friend who works at this complex. Both of his parents came from Mexico, legally, and he was born here and is an American citizen. His parents taught him both English and Spanish, so he is fluent in both. So fluent, in fact, that the illegals who inhabit approx. 70% of the section 8 housing in this complex consider him one of them, and confide in him. "Wait," you say. "Non-citizens can't receive government benifits." Yes, they do, and no one is doing anything about it. It works like this. Momma illegal rolls in with the kids in a beat-up car and the "almost homeless" sob story, no job, little money, etc. They give either a false SS# or one of the anchor baby's SS# for the application. They know that the apartment manager has no mechanism or incentive to verify the SS#. In fact, my friend told me that the employees faced termination if they tried in any way to hinder the illegals application, as it would be deemed discrimination. Besides, the employees are NOT INVESTIGATORS. This is what the owners of the apartment complex have told the employees. They only do a credit check, but no check on the legal status of applicants. After momma and the kids move in, papa illegal rolls up in the new Escalade or full-size truck and joins his family. Papa illegal typically works for cash as a landscaper or construction worker. However, he never uses his high dollar truck for work. He has a separate work truck. Therefore, during the day, the complex parking lot is full of high dollar trucks with custom wheels, etc.
If you think this story is an exaggeration, it isn't, at least not at this complex. It is more likely that this situation is common at all section 8 apartments. If you think this is the rantings of a racist, remember that my best friend here is Hispanic. I have to keep his identity secret, for he would probably lose his job if it was known.
The SSN they apply under comes back with diddley squat for income (likely a kid's), and any income is cash and never claimed.
Unlike some segments of the population, many of those from South of the Border are good and able workers, and have no qualms about gaming the system.
If it was REAL riff raff there, they’d be stolen/vandalized/stripped real quick.
Got mixed feelings about that, at least they WILL work, and honestly enough at the job that they are kept around.
But it’s like they feel they are the deserved instant karma to America’s foolishness, too.
And who is stupid here? The people who take advantage, or the people who vote for it and pay for it?
See tagline.
Really? Like the four illegals who abducted raped the 16 year old girl on Long Island? Drug dealing is work?
How did people become slaves and fools? By shunning God.
The majority of their income is "off the books" and therefore, not discoverable, or taxable. Poor on paper = welfare benefits up the ying yang.
What pisses me off more than anything is I'm driving a 13 year old GMC piece of sh*t. Every single one of the vehicles pictured in this thread is light years better than what I'm driving --- and I work for a living.
Who's the fool here, me or them?
Well, read the lead article, it talks about construction work. Don’t hold me to a reference point I never espoused. That would be a wicked lie.
Lived there, (across the street in the private homes,) saw it every day. Always fun to watch 10 guys standing around a popped hood wondering... About the dead battery.
Either you lived it or you didn’t.
I’m curious why welfare abuse - paid for by We the Taxpayers - is NEVER a hot campaign issue.
I’ve been seeing more and more Illinois and California plates (cars and moving trucks), in Texas. I’m beginning to wonder if there’s a concerted effort to get folks from the blue states to the red states.
I must admit “construction work” is the part I can’t quite believe. And... It’s not the “construction” part.
Rich but ignoramuses?
One evening in the apartment complex where I am (once had a home, fell on hard times) I found four white rednecks (complete with construction company tee shirts, ball caps, and twelve pack of Bud Lite) changing the transmission fluid on a chopped up truck one pint at a time with various brands of ATF. Taking three hours to do it.
Rimz expensive yo.
For fun, when you have some time to waste, go to google maps and street view...diverse... neighborhoods. You will see rundown shacks, garbage everywhere, BUT the most expensive rimz and paint jobs you can imagine.
Wicked lie. Love it. Are you from Boston? They use the word wicked all the time.
Actually, many of the illegals work extremely hard. They are motivated and they persevere. Unfortunately a lot of bad elements have poured into our country. They’re illegals. Why would we expect them to obey the law.
If you’re saying that dufuses come in all races, colors, religions, and flavors, I agree wholeheartedly!
My father when he was alive, used to tell me stories about when he was stationed down south. He would see old, crappy houses (more like shacks) with a pristine Cadillac parked out in front. Nothing changes.
This sounds like some with a foot in both camps. Work hard AND cheat hard.
Always fried me as a working person, some years living in near mortal terror of any kind of an unexpected triple digit expense (some cases double) seeing the lying, lame, and lazy get stuff handed to them.
