No, but life isn't fair.

Is It Fair For People On Food Stamps . . .

Stop right there. The answer is 'NO', regardless of what follows.

Fat people obviously do not need food stamps. If anything, they should be means tested so that anyone overweight cannot get them.

Yeah, we made something similar, if not the same as your hamburger/potato/gravy meal.:)

I still fix “vintage cuisine” from time to time. When my much younger brothers visit they always request this or that meal from our childhood. Their wives have finally got over being appalled and have even become fond of some of them. Of course, they have never said “how do you make this?” (like there is a recipe for these meals, lol)

So I guess when I die, my brothers will be s.o.l. and have to rely on memories.

Yep, we took hamburger meat and browned it with salt, pepper and a few other seasonings. Grated the potatoes onto the top and let them steam. Put some shredded cheese on the top. Just like the hamburger helper you buy at the store. Add a bit of flower and water or milk, and you have the gravy.

That sounds like what we used to make except we used a lot of onion while cooking the hamburger. Instead of cheese we’d put the old dried out “what was left of the bread” crumbled up on top and browned in the broiler. Cheese on top of that would be awesome.

This has made me hungry..so I think I’ll make some tomorrow!

“Maybe some of these well-dressed, people driving nice cars lost their jobs due to the wonderful/s obama economy and these vehicles are paid off before the family went on food stamps.”

They should sell the $30,000 car, buy a nice $10,000 used car, and use the $20,000 to buy food, etc. instead of making ‘us’ pay for it!

People shouldn't be able to vote themselves freebies. If you're living on the government (and I'm not talking about Social Security - you paid into that your entire adult life), you shouldn't have a vote. As long as that is allowed, the dregs of society will continually vote to steal from the productive.
