One of the true-blue heroes of the Looney Left is Sen. Russ Feingold of Wisconsin. He is ADORED in DUmmieland, KOmmieland, and HUffieland, for being no sell-out to those evil DLC "centrists." No, not our Russ! Truly, Feingold has inherited the mantle of "Pugnacious Prog from the Northwoods," once worn by the sainted Paul Wellstone.
Well, guess what? Feingold is LOSING! Yes, you heard me! Our Favorite Russkie is trailing in the polls, even in a poll commissioned by the KOssacks themselves! What's going on here?? Has Wisconsin gone MAD?? Is it a nefarious plot? The KOmmies are BESIDE themselves in utter dismay! An enormous enthusiasm gap, coupled with a Republican nominee fresh from a decisive primary win and unsullied by the primary process, has catapulted Republican nominee Ron Johnson to a double-digit advantage over incumbent Democrat Russ Feingold, according to PPP's poll of the state on behalf of Daily Kos.

The malaise with Democratic voters in the state is unmistakable. . . .

If Feingold can make the election about Johnson, he has a chance of resurrecting this race. Clearly, he needs to find some formula for bringing the Democratic base to the polls. . . .

We need to mobilize the student vote. They are on the front lines of the important issue of LGBT rights. We need to get the professors at UW-Madison to frankly do their job and educate students on the important issues of the day, namely cap-and-trade, repeal of DOMA/DADT and comprehensive immigration reform. It is up to the professors, they need to do their job in educating the students to get out and vote.

I see very little Feingold presence and a LOT of Republican presence. Many, many Rep ads on tv - VERY little for Dems. I'm losing Obey -- and the district is deep, deep red right now. This area is also very, very white. And Christian. Churchgoers. And aging . . .

Since Wisconsin has same day, no photo ID required voting, it has been found out that many addresses that are claimed don't exist. This is simply a way to take those registrations, and if they come back undeliverable that voter can be challenged at the poll. The Dummies, though are claiming the old tried and true "voter suppression" card.
The things the Dummies, and Kos Kids aren't saying is this is 100% following the letter of the law. It is written in the law that groups are allowed to do this. So much for a "scandal". They are just peeved that a Republican campaign worker caught a labor leader, paid lobbyist on tape telling how his group was colluding with the Democratic Party, and (according to the lobbyist) the Barrett campaign, which is illegal, and an investigation is being called for, so they are claiming "everybody does it".

What happens to the student who goes to learn physics, mathematics, or electrical engineering but learns ideology instead? We’re creating a nation incapable of functioning.
All we would have to do is get a conservative student to tape the professor "doing their job" and air it once or twice, and they would lose a few more percentage of voters.
I live right in the middle of the State, and the people around here (and really everywhere outside Madison) hate the elitist liberal type. They are true blue collar workers (most non union, outside State Gov workers) that can't stand the pretentious snobs in Madison telling us we are stupid. Russ Feingold (believe it or not) has won here because he isn't that type of liberal. He is generally seen as a good natured, independent Senator that, before this year, never ran "dirty" campaigns. We are just sick of Washington (finally) this year, and the stars seem to be lining up for once. Russ just got bad luck having to campaign in this year. So if the liberal professors try and tell us the we, the people "need to be educated", they will see a backlash even worse than the one they are imagining.
