Ryan is a good man, but does not redeem the abortionist/homosexualist statist Romney
Aug 11, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 08/11/2012 4:42:48 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Except for his unfortunate go along to get along support of TARP, bailouts, stimulus spending and the increased credit limit, etc, Ryan is a pretty good choice. Probably the best choice of the RINOS that were on Romney's short list. I support Ryan for the vice presidency. Wish he were at the top of the ticket, though.

But I still cannot and will not support the grand father of ObamaCare. Romney still loves and brags about his bastard brainchild, RomneyCare, even today when he knows what an anti-liberty socialist POS it is.

And the fact that he advocated that abortion should be safe and legal in America for over three decades of his adult lifetime and even advocated that Roe v Wade should be supported and sustained as settled law precludes any consideration whatsoever by this pro-life Christian for Myth Romney for the presidency.

And the fact that he boasted that he would be better for "gay rights" than Ted Kennedy, and proved it just increases my resistance.

That, and his penchant for gun control, his continuing support for global warming, gays in the scouts, gays in the military, and his record of appointing liberal judges makes it all but impossible for me to support him.

Lastly, we're having a bit of changeover on our moderator staff. At least two moderators resigned this afternoon after I flatly refused to rein in a so-called anti-Mormon "bigot" on FR. Well, if being in opposition to false prophets and false prophecy makes a Christian believer a bigot, then I guess I'm a bigot. I've posted before that I flat do not believe that the Book of Mormon is the true word of God. Nor do I believe that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. The Christian bible warns us to be weary of false prophets and that I am. Romney being the presumptive Republican nominee does not change that fact.

Obama has been bad, his reality has been much worse than his threat.

As I recall, by this time with Obama in power there weren't going to be elections any more so we *had* to support McCain. It's bad. I won't make little of it. But look how our numbers in the House have grown. Look how close we are to taking the Senate. Look at my own Governor Walker surviving an effort of historic proportions to take his office away. Look at the Tea Party crowds compared to the Occupy crowds. Like the 911 attack on the Twin Towers, the Obama presidency has united grass roots America. We want our country back and by gosh we're taking it. If we throw Romney in the middle of our ranks, a circular firing squad ensues and we lose our target. Now is not the time to trade their liberal president for our liberal president. Now is the time to continue the full court press and wipe out the infrastructure established by the internationalists, socialists, and statists in our midst. Handing the Executive Office to a statist is no way to accomplish that goal.

“”Also, Robert Bork is on Mitt’s advisory team on judicial appointments, and that’s, hopefully, a good thing. Right?””

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Bork

“Although an opponent of gun control,[29] Bork has denounced what he calls the “NRA view” of the Second Amendment, something he describes as the “belief that the constitution guarantees a right to Teflon-coated bullets.” Instead, he has argued that the Second Amendment merely guarantees a right to participate in a government militia.[30]”

Not to me.

You missed the GOP ad blitzes that appear in traditional swing states? I hear about them, and even the MSM usually piles on Obama for these Pinocchios.

I think you just don’t want to believe such things happen.

Because a devout Catholic (the type which the GOP would like to seat on the court) would reason along these lines:

1. Guns are used in murder and make murder easier.
2. Therefore controlling or eliminating guns is “pro-life” on it’s face,
3. Ergo, the 2nd has to go.

OK, let’s say we get a weasel of a Catholic, ie, left-of-center like Roberts: Well, they’re just weasels and will go along with their left-of center views.

Those who would also have “baby tantrums” if the shoe shifted to the other foot,
***Of course there would be tantrums, because JimRob has been clear from day one that Romney is unacceptable. Such things as the RomneyTruthFile would need to come down, pronto. Dozens of posts from JimRob would need to be “revised and extended”.

But the mittbot crowd just blithely overlooked all of that.

I don’t trust Romney. He has a history of going Left. What to do when if he wins and reverts to his past liberal modus operendi and the Republicans in the House and Senate go along?
Ditto to what Jim Robinson wrote. ABR individuals have valid concerns. We know Obama is a diaster and are wary Romney will be one as well.
I’m still on the fence about voting for Romney. His response to the Chick-fil-A issue was a strike against. I’m open to adding more pluses in favor of Romney.

My son once dated a girl who was a Southern Baptist. He went once to a Sunday service at her church and walked out when the preacher said Catholics were going to hell because of their veneration of the Virgin Mary.

Is Ryan now a target because he is a Catholic?

I read what you posted and it’s clear intent - That being to garner sympathy for the ABO mindset with a comparison to NAZI atrocities.

You posted your story. Why are you shocked that people respond to what you wrote? And BTW, what part of my reply was in any way/shape/form untrue?

many conservatives will grudgingly vote for them.

Christians DO NOT bow to EVIL. You cannot serve two masters!

"No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money."

I agree. That's why I've decided to vote for the Fourth or Fifth Party ticket. Either one of them should do better than that. Hope this meets with your approval.

‘All we require is 2/3rds of the Senate and it's game over.’

That's all, just 2/3rds of the Senate? How do you expect to do that?

Are you insane?

The Democrats have 51 seats in the Senate and control 53 with the two independents that caucus with them.

The Republicans have 47 seats, NOT ALL CONSERVATIVE BY A LONG SHOT! 33 Seats are up for grabs THIS TERM. Of those 21 are Democrats and 12 are Republicans. If the Republicans HOLD ALL THEIR SEATS, they would STILL need to get all but two of the remaining seats to have a 2/3 Super Majority. Than all they have to do is get ALL the Republicans to vote against O’Bumbler EVERYTIME HE ISSUES AN EO WOW, That is easier than nudging Romney to do the Conservative thing, Good Plan!.

I believe you should lay off the crack pipe, it seems to be affecting your ability to reason.
