Palin is not running for the republican nomination. She's going rogue!

Posted on 06/19/2011 7:01:27 PM PDT by RED SOUTH

Here is the why Romney will be the republican nominee and why Perry or Cain or Bachmann will not save the republicans. Romney is moving left on global warming and staying the course on Romneycare and you will see him take his natural left positions on other issues as the campaign gets underway. His goal is to attract as many democrat voters into the republican open primaries as possible to vote for him. Meanwhile , Bachmann has been brought into the race by the establishment as well as Cain who has no idea. Perry is coming in too. This is to split the Tea Party and conservative vote allowing Romney to win with whatever republican votes he gets plus the democrat crossovers as the democrats will not have a primary race with Obama running unopposed.

I believe Sarah Palin knows this. I think Palin also believes the republican party is worthless. Like us , she has watched them sell out once they got the House back as the current leadership is from the same group of republicans who passed big government and huge deficits under Bush and voted for TARP and bailouts. Boehner and Cantor was there for it all. Just the other night Palin said she was watching and hoping she didn't have to go rogue on them.

The big debate has been , is Palin running? She seems to be and at the same time , doesn't seem to be. I think she is running for President but not for the republican nomination. I think she will send shock waves through the political establishment when she does announce that she is running as an Independant , going rogue. That is why she is in no hurry to announce and can wait pass the filing deadlines for republican primaries. Organizing4Palin is in 50 states , she has enough people to get on the ballot in all 50 states. The bus tours , the movie Undefeated is part of a general election strategy instead of a republican primary strategy. Her famous speech in Wisconsin was as much against republicans as it was against democrats.

Please don't bombart this thread with , no third party posts and how it will hand Obama another term. That is just plain false. Obama has sunk so low that his campaign is hopeless. Imagine the state of the race if Romney is the nominee. If you think people sat out because of McCain , you have not seen anything yet. The middle between Obama and Romney will be wide open and a conservative candidate could beat them both easily. Perot lead Clinton and Bush in 92 before he dropped out and got back in again.

Nice RNC talking points She is in for the money and should be a cheerleader. I have had it with this crap. Why would she support anyone less conservative then her and if she was in it for money why do some speeches for free and not do season 2 of Alaska?

I think Freeper MrEdd summed it up here recently.

I have zero interest in helping the USA collapse into a mire of governance by twin socialist authoritarian parties.

Tea anyone?

"We will write in Gov. Palin before that."

I certainly would.

Actually I wouldn’t vote for Obama over Romney, but I have no intention of voting for either of them. I’d write in Palin or vote third party.

None of this has come to pass and at this point, there is no strong indication that Romney will win the nomination.

We have to keep up the faith that we can get a true conservative in office. We ain't dead yet.

The Whig party only lasted 21 years. It wasn’t like they were almost 160 years old.

What do you put on chigger bites anyway?

Campho-Phenique, a drop or two will do it. Old, Old formula.

She is on the books for about $20,000,000 a year, between FNC, consulting, books, and her paid speeches. Why take a chance to be marked a loser and risk all of that?

2008 is blamed on the Bush aftermath and McCain. A 2012 loss would be blamed on her personally.

In 2008, she came close to quitting one weekend. The personal attacks against her Down’s Syndrome child and other family members had gotten to be too much. In addition, after the campaign, when she returned to Alaska, it only got worse.

I love, support her, and wish she could be President.... but know she is too smart to run.

If you're so damned smart, then why can't she just win the Republican primary?

This is crazy talk and if Palin would even think of this, she is no patriot--she is a traitor and deserves NO respect, yet alone a vote.

The Republic wasn’t all that old back in 1860, either. The Whig Party was one of the two major parties, but it managed to kill itself off through corruption and stupidity.

As you point out, it’s now been 160 years since that last happened. It’s possible to reverse your argument and point out the the Republican Party has been around too long, and has lost its way.

I’m not saying this is going to happen, but it certainly seems possible. And I think Sarah Palin is wise enough to realize that she can’t just start another party—she has to work with the Republican Party IF they still have enough sense to pull up their socks, do the right thing, and survive.

I would much rather see the Republican Party pull itself together and open itself to reform. But I am far from certain whether it is now capable of doing that.

In other words, if such a seismic shift is going to take place, it will not be through any one person’s choice, or even the choice of a fairly large number of people, but because the time has come.

Time will tell.

Wow. I think you nailed it.

Somebody needs to send this to Mark Levin.

Mark, I love ya, man, more than you could know, but you must drop the "I'll vote for Elmer Fudd" false beacon.

Romney as president -- and he disastrously could be, as Obama becomes more despised by Americans every day, and he is -- would guarantee inflammation of statist liberalism at all levels of government, only it would be WORSE because it was done under the "conservative" banner, because AS LONG AS YOU VOTE FOR ELMER FUDD, you will be allowing the GOP to blatantly misrepresent itself as the party of limited government conservatism. Congratulations -- you just voted for more statist liberalism and delivered a blow to the strength and unity of true limited government Americans.

God bless Sarah Palin.

I thinking no. If the dollar tanks...all the way. If we are sent into chaos and food shortages....Yes, I can see a third party being sucessfull. Right now, today, 3rd party relects Hussein.
