2 Army tours in the Great Southeast Asia War Games, (MindBender 26 was my radio call in RVN.) Was known to the indig as “Di Ui Mhap” in Tay Ninh and surrounding areas (Far western III Corps up against Cambodian border; AKA the Fishhook and Parrot’s Beak areas).

Now know from RVN experience that if The Allmighty had wanted us to depend on the 5.56mm round in wartime, He would have made all our enemies two feet tall.

Chernobyl twice as newsie. (Don’t think I had any radiation problems..... but I could read without a night light for about two weeks after I came back.....)

Had dinner with Helen Thomas in DC a few times back in my Crusading Reporter days. She is a mean drunk, rabidly anti-Semitic, absolutely hates every member of the Bush family, and is truly one of the ugliest women in the world. That nose of her’s looks like an arresting hook on an F-14 Tomcat.
