I spent quite a bit of time outside this weekend. It was nice.

“I spent quite a bit of time outside this weekend. It was nice.”

A much better use of your time than reading this silly article.

You should go into the political consulting business with your abilities to forecast the future like that.

It’s an interesting analysis and entirely possible.

However, if that’s the republican strategy it’s going to fail in the south on Super Tuesday. The South isn’t going to vote for Romney any more than they did last time. It’s going to hand the Republican nomination to another candidate, someone who doesn’t drop out after the Northeast primaries.

It might well split republicans and hand Obama another term, but he’d get that against Romney anyway. So unless she splits the vote against a better republican, Obama’s in. Obama is going to be hard to beat regardless. Because the disatisfied looney left doesn’t have anyone else to go to, and the blacks are still for him.

I think Palin would pull more votes than Romney and it would send major shock waves through the Democrat Lite party of republicans.

And I think that it might just work.

Romney is just the placeholder until someone comes along that captures America's attention. That may be Perry, but it may not.

Palin is not running. She has tasted the pain a campaign creates. Right now, she is making $20,000,000 a year, and will be a kingmaker in 2012.

If someone who shares her values can be elected, she is smart enough to know that is victory without another round of pain.... and since she will be that person's “kingmaker,” she will be the most powerful Republican for the next 8 to 10 years.

Every conservative I know
would vote for Obama
before the backstabber Mitt Romney.

We will write in Gov. Palin before that.

The minute Sarah declares, all pretense of anyone else having a shot will evaporate.

Except for the chiggers.

What do you put on chigger bites anyway? It’s enough to drive you crazy.

After a few days I sprinkle them liberally with my tears, depending on location.

What pain? Have you seen the Palins in any pain? I haven’t. They’ve taken everything the political establishment has thrown at them and have not only survived but have thrived. Ever see them not smiling? And not a pasted on phony smile but genuine happiness. She is running, bet on it.

Well, I don’t know if this deserves a serious answer or not.

But I half agree with you.

Palin will run as a Republican if the party comes around and starts making sense. She did so in Alaska, twice, and beat out corrupt Republican insiders for Mayor and Governor.

If the media and the party insiders refuse to let that happen, however, then I agree. She will run as the Second Party candidate, and the Republican Party will be finished.

When the Republicans replaced the Whigs in 1860, because the Whig party was simply too corrupt to survive any longer, a lot of the best former Whigs came over and joined the new Republican Party. I imagine that would happen again. If the Roves and other insiders refuse to let reform into the party, then a lot of the best Republicans would probably come over, sooner or later, to the new party.

It would take someone like Sarah to do this. I think she has the capability to do it. And nobody else does.

But she won’t do it unless she has to. Still, I agree. She is leaving that door open, in case the GOP decides to commit suicide rather than change.

Put Tea Tree oil on the critters.

By the way, Holder/Obama do not like your using “chiggers”.

The Holder/Obama approved term is “chigroes” - got that?

;-)
