include the part about russia formenting a coup in mexico, and that seems to sum it up. throw in biolabs for whatever reason, and russia actually running air defence assets, MLRS systems and who knows what else, some of it apparently from day 1, and bragging about it to their own press.
I think canada is a better analogy for this then mexico, also. much closer to us culturally and linguistically.

it is pretty normal to see small fighting between successor states of collapsed empires in decades (and even centuries) after separation.
of course, here if the US wasn’t basically funding and running the UKR military including who knows how much hands-on help, there wouldn’t have been a war. it would have been over very quickly.

Every time Europe has a problem they come crying to the US for help, money, and to be saved from some problem they are in a large part responsible for.
The Western European Nations have had since 1945 to build up their militaries and combat infrastructure, THEY CHOSE NOT TO and instead to depend on AMERICAN MONEY AND BLOOD for their defense.
Are you going to try to convince me that Western Europe didn’t know that the SOVIETS weren’t a problem for them, and after the SOVIETS that the RUSSIANS weren’t THE SAME PROBLEM?
The NATO Nations basically created this problem for themselves by trying to nudge Ukraine into NATO AFTER AN AGREEMENT HAD BEEN SIGNED NOT TO, the Russians told everybody back in 2014 that that is something they would not tolerate.
