Jack the Ripper unmasked
Mail Online ^ | 9/6/2014 | Russell Edwards

It is the greatest murder mystery of all time, a puzzle that has perplexed criminologists for more than a century and spawned books, films and myriad theories ranging from the plausible to the utterly bizarre.

But now, thanks to modern forensic science, The Mail on Sunday can exclusively reveal the true identity of Jack the Ripper, the serial killer responsible for at least five grisly murders in Whitechapel in East London during the autumn of 1888.

DNA evidence has now shown beyond reasonable doubt which one of six key suspects commonly cited in connection with the Ripper’s reign of terror was the actual killer – and we reveal his identity.

I had a Ripper doc on the other day. The conclusion was that it was a morgue worker, whose name I didn’t catch.

The kidney that was sent had indications of practiced knife skills, as well as a disease one of the victims had.

The kidney had been stored in wine spirits, available at the morgue.

The morgue at the time was at the geocenter of the killings.

The worker grew up in the area, mother being a hooker.

They attribute two other victims a predecessor, but more importantly, a final victim that had comparatively shallow cuts, which they attributed to the pleurisy of the morgue worker, which was his COD.

YMMV.

“Polish-born Aaron Kosminski”

So, maybe, if UKIP were around back then, Mr. Kosminski wouldn’t have killed dozens of Brits...but the left was already in force then, I guess.

I also lean towards Mr. Druitt as the No. 1 suspect.

But we'll never know til the General Judgment.

Well, the gay community won't be pleased to hear of this obvious abuse of profiling

I read the entire article, and the methodology described appears sound. Took six years and lots of painstaking and expensive lab time to do what they did. I'm generally somewhat of a skeptic, but for me, unless someone can prove these folks are just hoaxers trying to cash in, I'm going to consider it case closed.

But he did spend time on the golf course afterwards looking for the real killer.

Nope, I don’t know about the DNA, but I can tell you that the killer was definitely a Freemason, NOT a Jew.

Patricia Cornwall pinned on Sickert, didn’t she?

Yes but most criminologists feel that her theory has been debunked. Apparently, there is evidence that Sickert was in France when four of the five murders were committed. The only DNA results showed that Sickert was one of several hundred thousand persons in England who could have been the sender of one of the Ripper letters. Even had the DNA shown a reliable match to Sickert, it would have only shown that he sent the letter, not that he did the murder. There are a lot of letters which purported to be from Jack the Ripper but only a few are believed legitimate.

"Off topic - I took a Ripper walk when I was in London. Highly recommended."

I did too and thoroughly enjoyed it. Met a couple from Massachusetts who were also on the tour. The most pleasant surprise was they weren't liberals.

I really enjoyed mine. We ended up at the Twelve Bells pub (the pub where supposedly a victim had her last meal/drink), and had a great time.

I bought him a pint and tipped him twenty quid, plus bought his book. I really had a nice night. I’m glad you liked your tour too.

Sanders was always good...he always had that “I don’t give a damn” attitude about his roles which was always perfect.

I believe the letter has “nice” misspelled which leads credulence to the immigrant

Not really. The writer has no problem with "fried", "piece", "signed". "While" and "knife" are mispelled, but as the unexpected "whil" and "knif".

There are other mispellings which appear to be Stage Irish "sor" "prasarved".

But correct the mispellings and add punctuation, the letter becomes formal Business English.

Survey says hoax by medical students.

Yup, there’s at least one topic in that list above, the one about the obsessed author. :’) There’s DNA evidence of a sort involved with that ID as well.
