I think we're seeing why they wanted the regulations changed so they could ship US chickens to China for processing.

My attitude on these places is if you eat there, you deserve what you get.
To: RIghtwardHo
The supplier involved probably processes chicken for a lot of restaurants and food products. Heck go to the grocery store and you might get the stuff off the floor.

(I could eat it raw, but why do that when I have a fire.)

The Filet-O-Fish is made from the days sweepings off the floors of Fish Processing Plants

In all seriousness, the mixing of expired meat with fresh meat bothers me a lot more than workers picking meat off the floor.

At what point in having food processed in China was this unexpected?
A curse on the business and govt people who have made this happen.

I think in China its the 5 week rule. No, that's only with cat meat, since it has nine lives.
Dog and other meat is dependent upon the amount of siracha sauce it has had on it, but usually 6-10 days.

Do you think the Chinese employees are members of the meat packers/butchers union?

Probably have their own “unions” over there, run by government

“If it’s on the floor less than five seconds you can brush it off and eat it”.
It’s used in many households in the U.S., particularly ones with small children.

I was in the Philippines a year ago for our production company and we were invited by an American businessman who supplied the McNuggets to McDonald’s in the Philippines. They literally electrocute the chickens and process the meat directly. They had sweepers who swept every debris and chicken crap that dropped on the floor. I guess the cameras in the place scared them LOL

As of 2010 there were over 1,125 McDonalds and 3,400 KFC’s locations in China.

Exactly!
It’s ‘blow-back’ against our society’s move towards excessive sterilization and germ-phobia.

I’d wager this same company processes food for McDonalds and KFC in the US.
