I would like to thank all who have welcomed me within the past almost 3 wks; esp ., "the old lady". I also vividly recall also "null and void" & lazmataz.
It's been nice having a posting priviledge here as a guest but I don't think FR is for me.
I'm a Constitutional Conservative and as many conservative opinions are voiced here I'm not seeing what I'm personally looking for in commentary.
It's sort of like dating isn't it? After a few dates, a few comments,a few opinions, one begins to draw conclusions. Free Republic just isn't for me.
I prefer a much more constitutionally conservative site to voice my opinion.
I wish you all well and thank you for welcoming me during this time to Free Republic.

Perhaps you missed a lot of postings that were not active when you were online.

I am a Lockean/Reidian/Thomistic Conservative-—have been on FR for a decade—and there is no other conservative site (I’ve been everywhere) which is more “Conservative”— and with people who can intelligently discuss issues with a decent amount of much needed humor. We have been mentioned by many conservative talk show hosts——and Breitbart used to post here.
That says it all.
I hope you understand that a Conservative is one whom keeps the Constitution. That is all.
Outside of that, do whatever keeps you. :^)

Sometimes its nice to have a ronery old prick around. No need to sugarcoat. “You suck. Whatcha want for dinnner?”
This is a site that has a lot of serious discussion but you do have to wade through a lot of pop commentary, inside jokes, and free wheeling stuff. If you are looking for only serious commentary and the free wheeling fellowship of day to day stuff puts you off, it probably seems irritating.
Best of luck finding some site that runs commentary more appropriate to your temperament.
