It may not rank as the most compelling reason to curb greenhouse gases, but reducing our emissions might just save humanity from a pre-emptive alien attack, scientists claim.

Watching from afar, extraterrestrial beings might view changes in Earth's atmosphere as symptomatic of a civilisation growing out of control – and take drastic action to keep us from becoming a more serious threat, the researchers explain.

This highly speculative scenario is one of several described by scientists at Nasa and Pennsylvania State University that, while considered unlikely, they say could play out were humans and alien life to make contact at some point in the future.

The earth’s climate has been constantly changing since the world began. Any alien civilization advanced enough to detect our climate changes would also know that planets’ climates constantly change.

Let's assume there are extraterrestrials.

And they know we're here.

And they care we're here.

There are two things, IMHO, that the aliens would fear from us, and want to insure were contained on this planet.

#1 is Liberalism/Socialism/Statism.

#2 is Islam.

Both are a cancerous tumor on every civilization they touch.

I wish the aliens would eliminate them for us here, but I would totally understand if they'd wipe us all out should there be a chance of either spreading from this planet.

Nuke us from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
