Two years after banning so-called “assault weapons, Dick’s Sporting Goods has announced it will now eliminate the hunting section and all firearms from a majority of its stores.
The retailer made the announcement while reporting better-than-expected fourth-quarter earnings Tuesday, according to Fox Business.
Apparently emboldened by increased sales of baseballs and outerwear, Dick’s will stop selling firearms in 440 of its stores and completely eliminate the hunting section in those locations by the end of this fiscal year.

The article left out that Dick’s will be adding Male Waxing and Personal Massage Services; and the former outdoor store will be sponsoring a team in the 2020 Drag Queen Badminton Championships.
About 40% of their floor space is already womens clothes.
They should just change their name to Jane’s and be done with it.
A lot of people will go to Dick’s less.
They patronize that store but will tell us "I trusted and cared about him and he turned out to be a real dick."

Don't tell that to former Mayor Pete. His "husband" goes for those women's clothes sales every week.

They started this nonsense a couple of years ago; I have not shopped there since. We get their sale fliers frequently with the newspaper and they go into the recycle bin with the junk mail.
Never shopped there...glad I didn't.

Their prices are higher than a cat’s back. Outrageously high. Won’t purchase anything there because I don’t like getting ripped off.
Overpriced retail
To liberal snowflakes ALL guns are scary.
Sort of. A couple of years ago they removed AR pattern rifles, semi-auto rifles, and all hand guns. They still sell shotguns and lever guns, and all kinds of ammunition. But this time they apparently intend to remove anything and everything that goes bang.
The amazing thing about this is I heard on the radio (so it must be true) yesterday that Dick’s stock prices actually rose about 11% after the announcement. So, as someone else here wrote, soccer mom’s will keep them afloat.
There are alternatives for anything that they might sell.

I went to one once to get some cleats. The service was pathetic with dull tattooed morons and the price was outrageous. I rarely go “brick and mortar” anymore.
Even Pete should be smart enough to not answer that question.
What happened to our culture that we can even make jokes about something like this.
The high price of virtue-signalling.
They’ve decided that their core business is selling expensive sneakers and soccer balls to suburban moms, who hate those icky, nasty guns.
Then it won’t be dick’s Sporting Goods. Hey, hunting is a sport! What a bunch of dickheads heading up dick’s.
