I grew up as an US Air Force brat. My father was stationed at Pepperrell Air Force Base, previously known as Fort Pepperrell, in St John’s, NFLD in the late 1950’s when he met my mother. I am their only child as we traveled to the following places during my dad’s career. Dates are approximate, based on my memory.

1959-1965 Myrtle Beach AFB, SC
1966-1967 Back to St. Johns as dad was in Vietnam for a year
1968-1969 Moody AFB, Valdosta, GA
1969-1972 NAHA AFB, Naha, Okinawa
1973-1973 Otis AFB, MA dad was back in Vietnam for another year. Dependents could
stay at Otis.
1974-1977 Seymour Johnson AFB, Goldsboro, NC
1977-1980 Griffiss AFB, Rome NY
1981-Present Eastern NC

Mom passed in December 2013. Father passed in September, 2021.

If I could go back in time and change anything, I’d pass. Growing up as a AF brat was as good as it gets to me.
