Because he threatened them...as the chief law enforcement officer in the state he has vast powers to make someone’s life miserable.
Years ago my mom had a friend who’s husband would regularly beat the hell out of her. My mom would tell her that she needed to leave him. She would shake her head (often bruised) and say, “Well he said he was sorry!”.

I agree in principle that this a big issue with a lot of the #MeToo claims. But weren’t these women threatened by the biggest law enforcement obviously swinging dick in the land?
A few of them didn’t. One of the women was shocked, yelled at him, took a picture, told a friend and that was that. She was appalled. Unless you are a woman who has been smacked by a man you have no idea what you are talking about. The ones going back, that is a phenomenon I don’t understand, but that doesn’t make it right.
I’m sure Schneiderman apologized profusely....and used the favorite line of the abuser: “it’ll never happen again.”

Indeed he has threatened them. Also, the women's fellow lib/coimmies urged them not to say anything to keep solidarity with the neo Communist cause. We are dealing with a terrible cult here.
We have a scandal that has taken out one of Trump’s biggest enemies and threatens to tear the ny dems apart.
So by all means, let’s shift the focus away from Schneiderman, Cuoma, et al and onto the women who outed him.
