I actually am for Trump in my primary, Cruz in the general if that’s what happens. This thing? Pointless. Carson never did and never will have a chance to win. All this high protest by his forces is just BS intended to breathe life into a corpse that will not draw a win - anywhere.

Its just noise from the noise machine. You have to learn to ignore it; talking about it just lets the noise-makers dictate the subject of conversation.
The basic feature of the media noise machine is its ability to decide what we will talk about today. If we talk about stupid stuff we aren’t talking something else.
Trump understands this very well and uses it to his advantage.
By the way, thanks for keeping these postings going. People know that whenever someone is apologizing for or trying to explain away the actions of a politician, the politician did something wrong and is trying to cover it up.
So, tell us again why Cruz didn’t lie?
Ted, take the high road. Recap your apology tonight in earnest. Fill in whatever might be missing. Own the perception that has been created. Do it immediately. Do it right. Do it publicly. Do it to Ben Carson’s face.
Then move on.

The Carson campaign corrected the record on Twitter at 6:53 CST, but it seemingly went unnoticed:

Good headline, but I don’t think it’s helpful to Cruz. I didn’t read the article of yet another timeline. However, why did Cruz need to “apologize” if he didn’t lie? (That was another headline from a few days ago)
Cruz went heavy "evangelical" the weekend before the Iowa caucuses. Carson's base has been mostly evangelical Christians. Since the caucuses, Cruz has backed off the evangelical rhetoric.
Based on this, I have no doubt that it was an attempt by the Cruz camp to shave a couple of percentage points away from Carson to beat Trump. I do not hold Ted Cruz in high esteem for this.
That's my observation and my opinion.
Funny. Reading this thread, seeing all the vitriol aimed at Cruz and the absolute certainty that he played a dirty trick, the more inclined I am to believe that he is an innocent victim in this.
As I understand it, each campaign in each caucus in Iowa had a “captain” who championed their candidate to the group. If so, and since everyone is a Jedi-knight with their cell phones nowadays, why didn’t the Carson captains check it out immediately and refute it IF the Cruz captains were stating that Ben MIGHT (and yes the word MIGHT was used) drop out of the race???
